✨We are back✨
Unfortunately over the winter holidays we had to shut down due to contracting COVID-19 despite our diligent efforts not to.
Thankfully we did not spread the virus to any clients! 🙌🏼

We have so much wonderful news to share; from pet clients birthdays to new clients joining the family. So stay tuned for what we have in store 🤫

I suppose the best place to start to that the WWS family had a new ambassador that had been with us since January 2022.
Welcome Lady Izadora, or more commonly referred to as Izzie!

Izzy is my walking buddy and assistant on all our appointments and she has already made friends out of all our clients.

From Ponies to Puppies!

Hello and welcome to Walk, Wag, Smile!

My name is Eve and I am the founder and owner of Walk, Wag, Smile a business that provides pet services in downtown Toronto. We provide dog walking and in-home visits for cats and dogs.

I understand and appreciate that there is an enormous amount of trust that pet owners place in businesses such as my own when it comes for the best possible care for their pet. It is only natural that owners want to know the person they are entrusting there pet to and I believe in being one hundred percent transparent about my expierence and goals! So here is a little (or a lot) about me!

When I was born my first words were “Mummy” “Daddy” and “Horsie.” I was an avid and passionate animal lover from the minute I could toddle around the petting zoo to meet all the furry friends I could. I began riding horses at the age of 7 and for the next 16 years I continues to ride in events such as jumping, western saddle, and dressage. I always knew I wanted to be a veterinarian and therefore geared all my studies towards that goal.

In high school I spent a summer volunteering at a local veterinary hospital learning proper cleaning and sanitation procedures, reception duties, and assisting the veterinarians in routine pet examinations. When my volunteer period was up, the lead veterinarian was impressed with my work and hired me to work as a receptionist and assistant for the next 3 years. I stayed up until I was accepted to the University of Guelph to pursue my veterinary studies.

At the University of Guelph I quickly learned that while my passion for animals was strong, my interest in the mathematics and sciences was not. Veterinarians both equally value and understand animals and the science that goes into their health. I possessed the passion for animals but lack the interest in the more technical side of veterinary medicine. Being strong in the English language I changed my studies to English and creative writing. In June 2018 I graduated from the University of Guelph with my Honours BA with a Major in English and a Minor in Creative Writing.

Although my academic journey took a different path I was still deeply passionate about animals and wanted them to remain involved with my life. Throughout university I spent all my summer and winter breaks working in the pet care industry. I’ve started as a dog daycare attendant and was quickly promoted to dog bather and receptionist. I’ve also assisted in multiple cat and dog grooming sessions. For the past 7+ years I have been working in the pet industry as dog daycare attendant, dog boarding attendant, dog bather, assistant pet groomer, dog walker, and dog daycare/pet grooming receptionist.

In February 2019 I was accepted to my new Honours BA in ASL-English Interpretation at George Brown College St. James campus. In order to be closer to school I have moved to downtown Toronto. Although I am starting a new field of study I want to keep animals as part of my life and thus Walk, Wag, Smile was created.

I am not only a pet care worker but a pet owner myself to Oliver Twist and Oscar Wilde my two adopted black cats. I know what it is like to be on both sides of the pet care industry and believe it has given me the professionalism and compassion to give your pets the best possible care. We are fully insured and experienced in providing top of the line pet care.
