A refresh for an existing catio for 5 kitties in Ladner! Their guardian built a catio many years ago and asked us to refresh the shelves, which we were happy to do! We also built a two-step box for her to use to access higher areas. We made sure to add two cat face cutouts to the box and added turf to both treads as well as inside the box so that it’s also a piece of cat furniture! Finally, we built a vertical staircase inside to help the cats reach the pet flaps. We hope everyone enjoys their refreshed digs! 😺

A new catio for Taylor and Wally in Delta! This tall catio is located in the backyard and contains 6 shelves, a staircase and a human door. The cats enter the catio though a pet flap installed into a polycarbonate panel installed in the window track. We’re told the backyard gets lots of bird and bunny visitors, and we’re so happy everyone can gather safely!

A new catio for little babies Clover and Poppy in Coquitlam! Their guardian adopted them a couple of weeks ago and got in touch with us to design, build and install a custom window box catio. This catio is a kitten playground complete with stairs, ramps, a tunnel, two scratching posts, a hiding box and lots of shelves for jumping. They enter the catio through a pet flap installed in a polycarbonate window panel. We hope these two have lots of fun in their new outdoor space!

A new(ish) catio for Elara and Titan in North Van! We first met this duo last year when they were living in a condo and worked with their pawrents to design, build and install a custom catio on their deck which the cats accessed through a pet flap and tunnel (the first catio is on the last slide). This wonderful family just moved into their first house and got in touch with us to help disassemble and redesign the catio in their completely different space. We created a catio tower with shelves and a bubble bed and connected it to their original catio. We think the cats are pretty happy with the end result! 😻

A new catio for Smokey and Homer in North Van! Their pawrents just moved into their apartment and quickly asked their strata what rules they had around building a catio on their deck. We installed 7 panels pressure fit from the railing to the roof, along with 7 shelves and a staircase, and left plenty of room for the humans to enjoy the catio, too. 😸 The deck faces onto a beautiful bunch of trees filled with birds. We hope everyone has a great summer!

We built a catio earlier this year for kitty sisters, Vol and Ursula. Their mom got in touch with some photos and an update on how the girls are doing with their newfound safe freedom:

At long last I’m sending you some photos and a video of Voltairine and Ursula using the catio. They love it so much and it has really enriched their lives. I cannot imagine them not having it. I’m already scheming about having another catio built on our front deck - maybe next year!

A new enclosed deck for a family of kitties in New West! Their guardian was looking for a safe space for her cats to spend the day and enclosing this unused deck was the purrfect spot. 😸

A new catio for BC SPCA (BCSPCA) alum, Looney! Looney and her mom just moved into a new home with a covered deck that made the for a new catio. Looney is young and curious and we’re looking forward to seeing photos of her out and about enjoying her new views. 😺

A new catio for two kitties in Vancouver! Their guardians asked us to design a catio on their porch with a sliding door that could be opened when the catio is not in use. This meant that the shelves would need to fold down. Super custom - that’s what we do! After lots of research, we found the purrfect hardware that would make this possible and finished the installation yesterday - just in time for a week of sunny weather! Their guardians are able to share the porch with their cats and are happy knowing that they are safely contained. Happy bird watching! 😺

This Caturday is extra special because it’s also National Siamese Cat Day! Today’s a day to celebrate the kooky, intelligent, centuries old Siamese cat. Our Steve turns 14 this year and his favourite thing to do when he’s not yelling for attention and Churus is to hang out in the sunshine in his catio. Here’s a collection of photos of him in his various catios throughout the years + a photo at the end to show you what it’s like working from home with a Siamese cat. Love you, Steve! 😻

The BC SPCA (BCSPCA) is highlighting catios this month! This is one that we built for someone who works at the BC SPCA. Their cat, Zorro, loves it! 😸

A new catio for Gussie, Pepper, Marmalade and Cleo in Ladner! Our clients got in touch when they adopted two rambunctious kittens and wanted everyone to have safe outdoor access to burn all that fun kitten energy. We created a custom cat playground complete with turfed shelves, ramps, cat face cut outs to climb through, a giant sisal post, bubble beds, stairs, a large perch and bridges. A new catio for Fritz and Haze in Tsawwassen! Active Fritz is transitioning from being an outdoor cat, and his guardian let us know that he loves climbing and keeping busy. This 12’ high catio playground has it all - lots of shelves, a ramp, hiding spot, tunnel, bridge, bubble bed, staircase and sisal post. A new catio for Vo and Ursula in Mount Pleasant! Their guardian identified an unused space as the for a tucked away catio with excellent views of mature trees and birds. The cats enter the catio through a pet flap installed in a polycarbonate window insert. We used a pet friendly stain to achieve our client’s vision, along with a premium non-toxic sealer to protect the catio and its components against the elements. We know these two sisters will have a great time checking out their new digs.
