❤Say hello to the dynamic duo, Wylie and Moonpie!!
This striking pair is ready to strut their way into your life, and take your house by storm! Together since babies, these two are best buddies who cant wait to tackle life by eachothers side.
These two boys are sure to make you swoon when you first meet them, full of love and gossip to spill, these boys want you to know just how they feel about the day to day, and eagerly tell you all you need to know. They would gladly melt by your side as you go about your human business, ensuring to supervise you as you take on the day! Rolling and purring around your legs, these guys are amazingly lovely and sure to make all who meet them wow at their social personalities!
Foodies at heart, this pair tackles all their puzzles and slow feeders with ease, ensuring your duty of cleaning dishes is that much simpler! Treats are the BEST, and these two can be called with that classic shake of the bag just like you see on TV! They use their litterbox well, and have been very well behaved and tidy for us!
Theyve mostly only ever been indoors with the exception of supervised outside time, and would be best as indoor kitties with safe access to the sunshine. Learn more about these sweet kitties at https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/pets/741858/ | #comoxbc
❤🐾Minnie is a gentle soul looking for a calm forever home where there is always a hand available for scritches! Minnie was picked up as a stray in Prince George, so we don’t have much information about her history before she came into our care. She is a little hesitant of strangers, but once she realizes you want to be her friend she buries her head in your lap and waits for her pets! She has excellent leash manners (although she prefers her walks short and sweet!) and knows how to sit on command. She also loves a good brushing, and just melts into you while you groom her. This older gal isn’t going to be a hiking or adventure dog, but she will be a fantastic snuggle buddy or work-from-home companion! She cannot go into a home with either kids or other animals. She will chase cats and children make her nervous.
Minnie is an older lady, and has been diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia by our vets. As a result she is a little stiff, and will need to be on medications to manage her pain for the foreseeable future. That being said, the regimen that she is on at the moment is working quite well for her and she doesn’t have any trouble getting around or up and down stairs. We recommend that she go to a home without any other pets (although she does get along with other dogs) so that she isn’t at risk of hurting herself while playing. Does Minnie sound like the sweet soulmate that you’ve been searching for?

Say hello to our sweet little Midge!!
There is something so special about this sweet little lady, we’re not sure if it’s her crooked little ear, her tiny stature, or just her overall personality – but we sure love Midge.
Midge LOVES to play with toys, especially cat wands that she enjoys zooming around for. She enjoys having a room to herself here where she can lounge on her favourite scratch posts and watch birds from the window. Play and treats are the way to this girl’s heart. She can be a bit sensitive about where and how long she is pet for, so she would prefer an adult only home. Once she knows and trusts you, Midge is much less sensitive to touch. Meet Suki!❤🐾Suki is a very sweet, shy, gentle gal who’s just looking for a nice quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of a big city.
She is interested in people, and will slowly approach you to check you out, before offering you her big white paw in a silent request for love and affection. Suki loves nothing more than to sit outside in the sunshine with her person and just enjoy the peace and quiet.
We are hoping to find Suki a home with another dog, as she completely blossoms into a confident, and happy girl when she’s in the company of another canine friend! Learn more about sweet Suki at https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/pets/728693/. #SecheltBC
As you may recall, Nemo was found injured, laying next to a busy roadway, his body bearing the brunt of a traumatic incident. With a collapsed lung, chipped tooth, and severe nerve damage in his leg, Nemo was in need of a lot of specialized care. Nemo's vet recommended the amputation of his leg to give him the best chance at a pain-free life.
Nemo's new chapter in life has officially begun after recovering from his injuries and finding love in a forever home! You'd never know he was once scared and defenseless. He's adapted extremely well to being a tripod kitty, with his forever family sharing, "The way he runs up our stairs and plays with his toys, it is so inspiring. Nothing slows him down.”
Thank you to Nemo's supports who helped change his life! To read Nemo's full story, visit https://bit.ly/3ybxOny. ❤️
❤Meet our unusual resident spotlight, Quinn the quail!✨
This sweet bird found himself lost and alone in a Save on Foods parking lot, where he was rescued by a kind member of the public. Sweet Quinn has clearly been loved before as he is social and fairly confident. He loves to scratch around his enclosure looking for food, and taking dust paths to keep his feathers looking their best.
Quinn will need suitable housing either indoors as a house quail or outside with a flock in a predator-proof and weather-proof enclosure. In either scenario, Quinn will need plenty of space with lots of enrichment to keep him entertained.
Quinn is looking for a calm (ideally Quail-experienced) home with a guardian who understands a Quail’s needs!
❤Quinn is now at our Surrey barn and is ready for adoption. Visit https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/pets/707797/ to learn more about darling Quinn. | BC SPCA Surrey

❤Despite his large size, Duke is a gentle big boy with a heart full of love. He adores human companionship and thrives on affection, often leaning into his humans for cuddles and belly rubs. Duke is happiest when he’s curled up on the couch next to his favorite person. He has a calm and easygoing demeanor, making him a joy to be around.
Don’t let his age fool you, besides enjoying long naps and cuddle sessions on the couch, Duke is an active pooch who loves daily walks and outdoor adventures. Whether it’s exploring the neighborhood, hiking out on the trails, or splashing around at the beach, Duke is always up for an adventure. He’s also very playful and loves his stuffed toys AND STICKS! The bigger the stick the better!
While Duke is generally friendly with other dogs and has lived in a multi pet home, proper introductions are key to ensuring positive interactions. With slow introductions, Duke has shown good manners and enjoys the company of canine friends.
Although Duke’s interactions with cats haven’t been formally tested in shelter, he reportedly has a lived with them previously and likes cats, but will require slow introductions to new felines in a home as he sometimes gets excited and likes to chase smaller animals. Squirrel! Learn more about Duke at https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/pets/696692/ #kamloopsbc
Today's spotlight: Betty and Veronica!🔦✨These two have quite the personalities and we’re expecting that to show even more once they’re placed in their forever home. They absolutely LOVE puzzles and are very good at rearranging their room. Their favourite piece of décor is a large cardboard box that they get to tear apart when they’re feeling spicy. With these two, expect to think that there are ghosts living in your house as they like to throw their toys around and bounce off the walls. Since Betty and Veronica are still quite young, they have a lot of energy and are quite comfortable with being petted. That being said, they can have a sassy side and like to do things on their own terms.
Betty and Veronica are our longest term residents and have been in care a total of 336 days. They were born in our care and they have only known the shelter life. They would absolutely excel at being house rabbits and we want them to get the full experience of a happy rabbit life!
From now until May 5th, all adoption fees are 50% off to honour Adopt a Shelter Pet Day! Learn more about this sweet duo at https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/pets/581305/. ❤ #mapleridgebc
Today's spotlight: Thumbelina!✨️🔦This sweet and spunky lady is looking for a fur-ever home to call her own. Whether she’s racing around the yard with her favorite squeaky toy or curling up in your lap for some cuddle time, she’s always eager to be by your side.
