Do you remember the 7 kittens left abandoned on a property? Well, we have a wonderful update to share! Thanks to your kindness, Duchess, Lady, Princess, Queenie, Edeline, Countess and Duke are going to have a much cozier holiday season ♥️♥️♥️

Their adorable faces won the hearts of seven families over the weekend, and we are so excited to share that each of these wee kittens found their loving homes already!

These rambunctious little ones are enjoying life again now they no longer have to worry about when their next meal is coming, or if they will find a warm place to sleep. It was wonderful to watch them return to happy kittens, play with toys and get up to absolute mischief 😼while in our care.

Thank you for giving these special souls a second chance ⭐.

For those of us who love animals, our pets are truly members of our family. Therefore, it can feel impossible to move past grief when losing them—especially when it is unexpected.

A while after one of Leah’s cats suddenly passed away, she felt the time was right to seek a new furry family member. Then, she came across Bilbo, a tiny kitten available for adoption at the BC SPCA Cowichan Community Animal Centre.

In June 2024, Leah went to visit Bilbo in person, and she couldn’t resist his sweet face. It has now been a few months of Bilbo settling into his new home, and he has quickly made it his own. Read about sweet Bilbo's adoption story through the link below:

From scaredy to sweetie—we’re thrill to share an update on Fleetwood, who was trapped in a colony as a feral kitten at the end of June.

11 cats were trapped at this location, and Fleetwood and his brother Forest were the least socialized and also the last to be adopted.

It wasn't until September that Fleetwood was adopted by a lovely couple willing to take a chance on a scared little kitten.

Here is an update from his adopters:
"I wanted to share a little story about Fleetwood and his settling in with us. He's doing amazing and has developed a fun little habit of playing with a silver paper ball. He can’t seem to get enough of it! He also loves watching cat videos, which is both funny and adorable. He gets so focused that he’s trying to figure out their moves.

But October 3rd was truly a special day for me. For the first time, Fleetwood not only expected my petting but also curled up in my hand and fell asleep. It was such a heartwarming moment, and it felt like we had reached a new level of trust. Thank you so much for giving me this fur baby. He has made our life truly adorable."

❤️🐾Happy tails: Marge! Can you believe perfect girl Marge just landed her forever home!? Marge waited several months for the perfect person to come along and see what's so special about her. Of course we ADORE all of our animals, but there is a particularly special place in our hearts for our senior critters that tend to wait a bit longer than the others.
