Our sweet Deputy Sheriff, Koda, has gone over the Rainbow bridge knowing that her job at Whisker's was well done.

She came into Glenda's life 7 years ago, as a foster dog, through Broken Promises Rescue, and decided she'd like to stay and help teach the dogs how to be mannered Cowboys.

She thanks all of you for the love and attention over the years, as do I.

As we ride off into the sunset this final day, remember to "Wake Up and Wag because Every Hour is Happy Hour". 🐾 🤠 💕

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our great Deputy Sheriff, Daisy Joe Hamilton. She was our fearless leader, at both locations, for the past seven years of her life.

Beautiful Daisy came to us as a foster dog, when her Guardian suddenly passed away. After a very short time, during which she demonstrated her compatibility, effectiveness & happiness in our multi-dog environment, Glenda adopted her to be a permanent part of her family & heart.

Daisy has been a mentor for the new dogs, a monitor for the young & crazy, and a playmate for the big black-coloured males. (She liked them tall, dark & handsome!). The small dogs sought comfort in her presence, since they knew it would be a safe space.

On her days off, she loved to sniff out fresh crabs at Esquimalt Lagoon, hike the trails at all the parks (near & far), and monitor the neighbourhood from her perch in her yard, while having her favourite snack of a chunk of cheddar cheese. She will be greatly missed by her little sister, Koda, her Mom Glenda, and & all of us at Whisker's.

On her behalf, we thank you for having your pups come play with her & for the love you shared. May we all live like she did, with confidence, curiosity and resiliency. Rest in Peace dear heart Daisy. 🌈
