All these beautiful owned pets from today want to thank Pawsitive Communities and Pattie Cunningham for sponsoring their spays!! And of course the Virden Vet clinic for doing such a wonderful job as always. All are heading back to their families tonight!

I will have to do an official count but we have arranged to have over 60 animals to be fixed in the last 6 months!

We at SOARR are responsible for being in contact with community members from 4-5 different reserves, arranging a list that has currently 50+ animals on it, booking appointments and transporting all of these animals in for their surgeries and back home again! All of this is on our own time and money and let me tell you it can be exhausting days!

The last 4-5 months we have graciously teamed up with the amazing pawsitive communities out of Brandon and they have been sponsoring up to 10 animals a month from our list to be fixed and we can’t thank them enough. SOARR covers anything over the 10 that PC does! So when you donate, this is where your money goes to!

Anyone still wanting to donate to our auction can do so. We will need your items by Sunday so we can start Monday or Tuesday. Our auction will run a little different this year as we will sell tickets like at a Chinese auction. Then we will put the tickets in for the items you wish to put in for. It should be fun!!

Last week we had 4 more dogs fixed and returned to their happy owners!! Thank you to pawsitive communities for sponsoring and to heather from virden pet network and STCP for the food donations! These guys headed home to heal with full bellies 😊 and of course to virden animal hospital for performing their surgeries! These take a lot of work going from community to community to pick up and transport the animals the day before and then return the next day! If you would ever like to help transport, let me know! Fuel money is provided if needed!

12 cats and 1 dog were fixed today!!!! What an exhausting 2 days arranging and transporting all these guys from Wayway, birdtail, gambler, Sioux Valley and Canu but it was soooo worth it! Every family member was so happy to get their loved one back today! Happy recovery fur babies! Thank you to Lendra Friesen Kathi Gatey and Funds for Furry Friends for donating towards these guys today! And to Carla and staff from the Virden animal hospital for taking such good care of them today!

Hi everyone! We are needing help with transport of two cute kitties from the virden vet clinic to meet there owners at the gas station at the Sioux valley turn off on Wednesday oct 14th. Pick up from the vet clinic by 4 pm is needed!! Kennel will be provided!

Happy Tuesday everyone! We finally had a chance to sit down and make our official list of which animals from which communities need to be spayed and neutered. We have over 51 animals on our list right now and it’s growing wirh requests!!! We have teamed up with Pawsitive Communities and they have graciously stepped up and offered to fix 30 from our list in the next 3 months. This is absolutely amazing and they have always been great allies of ours. The cost to cover the surgery vaccines dewormer is approx. $220! If you would like to donate to the cause in helping us and PC please send us a message, any little bit helps!!

Hey everyone and welcome to SOARR!! ❤️ Our name stands for: Spaying Owned Animals Return or Rescue. We are a non-profit organization and our group is made up with a few fierce women who team up with bigger groups to help spay and neuter as many owned pets as we try to limit the unwanted animals on remote communities. Our thought is Less unwanted animals = less emergent rescue cases and suffering. One of our goals is trying to help the owner keep their pets. The healthier they are, the longer life span!! My mom and I have been doing this project on our own for 1.5 years by saving a small amount of money to get one surgery done a month. We are now working with bigger groups who help and we now are doing 4+ a month!! We have about a 100 pets on our list waiting to come in to be fixed. It amazes me to see how many people want to be responsible and have their pets fixed to help the problem with so many unwanted puppies and kittens. So far we have 4 booked in virden Oct 22, 2020 and have approved 8 more spots waiting for bookings!! Keep watch for pictures and updates! We budget $250 for an animal to spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and sent home with pain medications. If you would like to donate you can contact us! Any little bit helps! 💕
