TNR means Trap- Neuter-Return. The amazing people at @kwsphumane let me try to tame/socialize the feral cats I trap. With ferals you don’t know their story. Are they lost and misplaced pets without a chip? A feral cat living in a colony that’s easily turned into an awesome house cat? I believe they all have a chance with a loving family. Sometimes they can’t be socialized with humans as a “house cat” i return them back to exactly where I trap them. I have been mostly working with my grandpas colony in Millbank. Only one set of kittens this spring. I have rescued dozens of cats and kittens from this colony. Found loving homes for most but a few I have had to return. I have warm shelters for them in the barn, fresh drinking water, food and we all watch over the ferals. #TNR works.
It’s almost Mother’s Day…this time last year my mom and I did a photoshoot with the wheelbarrow kittens. A neighbour found these kittens and their mama under a wheelbarrow in his backyard and called us to help them. Helping my mom with the photoshoot was a lot of fun and we got some great shots! Since then all the kittens have been adopted along with many other of our rescued cats! #adoptdontshop #catrescue #catrescuer #catsofinstagram #mothersday St Francis Animal HospitalEldale Veterinary ClinicKitchener Waterloo Humane SocietyChristine ElizabethKimberley Warry-NielsenTom BileskiK-W Oktoberfest Rogers Women of the Year
Today, I trapped this guy as we were about to leave Millbank. He seemed pretty friendly, but too scared for me to pick him up. So we had to trap him. I’ve seen him a few times over the past few years. Today he was shivering in the snow and very hungry. After I brought him home, I put him in an enclosure, and after he was calm I jumped in to check him out His ears were extremely dirty, so I cleaned his ears. He needs a bath as he’s very filthy. He’s his can be challenging but necessary. He will need to be seen by a vet and will likely be neutered and need vaccines. After that he’ll be ready for adoption. #catrescue #catrescuer #kwhumanesociety #nueterandspayyourpets #takecareofyourpets #isthisyourcat #millbankcat #catsofmillbank Eldale Veterinary Clinic New Hope Animal Hospital Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society St Francis Animal Hospital Petfinder.com

I received a call from someone in tears asking if I could help. She ended up in a situation where she had 6 kittens on her hands and was in distress. My shelter was full but I called around and low and behold New Hope Rescue in Guelph had room. So glad I could help. These sweeties are in a much better place. They will get the care they need. Thank you so much New Hope Animal Rescue
These kittens are up for adoption. They are now 4 months old. Born in a barn I trapped them at 2.5 months. -vet checked-dewormed -vaccines-appointments are payed and scheduled for spay/neutered. I’ve been enjoying socializing these kittens with my family members, other rescue cats and family dogs.
This is the baby that I found near death at my grandpas farm last summer. I named her Sachiko. She was my first love ❤️
When I found her I realized something was in her neck. The emergency hospital told me it was a botfly larva. They fixed her up and she quickly melted our hearts. Sachiko had ups and downs with her health until she died at 10 weeks. I will miss her forever. I needed to pick myself up and rescue her 3 siblings, get them vet care and find them loving homes. This year I’m on a mission to get all the adult cats spayed/neutered and all the kittens a loving home. We have 3 litters I’m working with right now. Donations for vet bills, food and kitty litter are gratefully appreciated. Thank you so very much to the @kwsphumane for offering the TNR program for the adult cats.
