However today we get to officially thank the doggos for their unconditional love and for being there through all life’s ups and downs.
We will thank them with extra walkies, treats, new toys, extra snuggles and belly rubs too.

Today we’ve got 16 kitty visits in the lineup. Thats quite a few feline furiends to visit. Some need lots of TLC, some require meds and a few are multiple visits per day.
We are currently accepting new kitty clients however not currently accepting any new dog walking clients or boarding clients.

WE ARE CLOSED TILL FURTHER NOTICE..WE ARE SOO SORRY 😞💔

The post that we never wanted to make but we are in very rough shape friends. If things don’t change we will closed down forever.

Last year we made a similar post as our medical bills were stacking up and the community rallied to help us pay them down. Then we regrouped and tried to change some things in hopes to continue helping animals in need.

This pandemic animal crisis is brutal and we just cant keep up. We have tried so many different things in hopes to still be able to help and do our part, but with donations down by 80% it’s a struggle and we just can’t continue without our community’s support. We do not receive any government funding or support being 100% volunteer run.

We have 24 dogs in our care 13 cats, 1 bunny and a family of Guinea pigs. We thought instead of taking in new warriors and having animals sit as we have some dogs sitting for over 3 years without interest… that we would partner with some rescues and do some emergency medical cases, covering their medical to save their lives, & then transfer them to rescues where they can focus on their recovery and adoption. Doing both can be a lot but working together can help more while keeping room open for the next one in need.

We have always taken the harder cases and been the voice for ones who need the most help. When we get those emergency calls we have seconds to jump in and help or the animal looses their life. But we now have to say no. Even with those emergency cases we depleted our accounts and haven’t been able to successfully fundraise those funds back.

When Trooper came in run over by a truck he needed close to 6k in medical with emergency surgery and hospitalization before we transferred him to another rescue to recover… but we only were able to fundraise $710 back. This is just one example of many on top of the regular vetting, food and supplies we spend for the animals we already have in our program monthly.

We do monthly sponsors for our dogs to help cover their food just to keep them fed and that has been a struggle. We have tried so hard, we really have but with every rescue begging for help it’s becoming desensitized the desperation because everyone is hearing it everywhere.

We owe $17,000 in medical debt to Dr.B which is after we have paid down close to 10k. & we owe another 15k for training & boarding. Our medical team & trainers are our back bone. Every staff member at the clinic including Dr.B have fostered, taken animals home to recover or come in on days off to help. Our training team have taken in our dogs no matter the day or time, have done numerous fundraisers for us to help us, done free training and taken in our dogs on the drop of a dime who have no where to go or have minutes before euthanasia’s when shelters wouldn’t give them anymore time. These people are sacrificing the most and we need to acknowledge this.

These people have exceeded way more then what they signed up for, and although they all have been patient with payment plans and being sooo supportive to us… we just can’t sit with debt knowing they have bills to pay too. Without our team we have nothing. They are our backbone and I’m asking everyone to help us keep our team together and pay down our debt. This is not a one man show as we could never do this alone. We wouldn’t want to either. We have an amazing group of people & we need our amazing community to rally together & help us.

If our cry’s fall on deaf ears we have to permanently close which is terrifying. We are always transparent and keep it real and raw with everyone… we need our community’s help, and we need it now. Please fight for us the same way we fight for the underdogs we really need you. We really need a miracle. 🙏🏼 please help us . No donation is too small.

It’s been a crazy, busy summer BUT thats also a good thing for small businesses such as ours. There isn’t much “downtime” but savouring the rest of today now that all the weekend visits have been completed.
Sometimes a few hours off is a treat too AND ice cream is also a very, very good treat on these hot days. 😉

These two boys have been with us for many, many years now. JD has insulin needs and now Kofi has some kidney issues and dementia. Caring for them as they age has been an absolute privilege! Medical issues and all, we roll with it and provide them with the absolute best care they can receive.

These puppers were lucky to have a rain free walk today!
I don’t know about you but I can’t handle much more of this weather.
When possible, we will reschedule walks but there is only so much we can do with thunder & lightning. ⛈️⚡️
A tough few days and doing the best we can in the chaos of cancellations and reschedules. Numerous kitty visits that didn’t get affected, lucky kitties!

Shaded trails are so welcomed this week!
Shortened walks, shade and lots of water to help us get through these temps. It’s certainly been a tough few days BUT we are only at the start of summer. A few months of these temps to go and we will modify our walks when necessary.

Happy Father’s Day!

Another super busy week ahead and the days just keep getting busier and busier as we head into the summer months.

It’s going to be super hot this week and all dog walks will be shortened as a result. Unfortunately we can’t cancel our services because of the weather but we will adjust the walks and services for the health and safety of your dogs.

We haven’t disappeared but taking a little break occasionally from social media. It’s been insanely busy with 12-14 hour days at times and yes, weekends too. Being out in the field and operating our services with a hands on approach every single day is our number one priority.
Sometimes this means delayed responses to emails and new client requests. Please be patient and kind! Everyone in the pet care industry is overwhelmed these days including veterinary clinics and groomers as well.

As always current clients can easily reach us via the portal or App. Current clients will always receive first priority when messages are sent through these avenues. Please ensure to keep all communication in the portal to make things as streamlined as possible. 😁
