Basic Obedience
Monday, February 6th & Friday, February 10th
7:00pm - 8:00pm
Runs for 4 weeks

Skills taught include : sit, down, stay, recall, walking nicely on a leash, place, impulse control, door boundaries.

Agility Foundation Level One
Tuesday, February 7th & Friday, February 10th
8:00pm - 9:00pm
Runs for 6 weeks
(Maximum 4 dogs per class)

Agility is a fun, fast paced sport for dog and owner. Handling skills are incredibly important to succeed at this sport.

Trick Class
Runs for 6 weeks
(Maximum 4 dogs per class)

Earn trick dog titles following the curriculum of Do More With Your Dog! Trick training is a fun way to bond with your dog while learning cute behaviours. We start with easy things such as sit and down and progress to more complicated behaviours like spin, weave, jump a hoop, ring a bell, teach your dog to read etc.

Scent Detection
Runs for 6 weeks
(Maximum 4 dogs per class)

This growing sport teaches your dog to find and alert on a particular odor. Suitable for any breed and age. It's a great thing to know for when the extreme temperatures make it tough to get outside and properly exercise your pup!

Reactivity Class

Is walking your dog a nightmare? Does your dog bark and lunge at people or other dogs? Does your dog lunge at cars and bikes? Is your dog super excited when they see other dogs and people on leash? Is walking your dog embarrassing because of how they react? Do you find yourself trying to avoid the distractions, keep your dog under threshold, ask for commands your dog knows and yet none of that works very well? This class is for you!
Teach your dog how to deal with the environment and focus on you.

6 week class. 2 private sessions to start and 4 group classes. Classes will take place at parks & trails in the city.
4 dogs maximum per class.
Will run on Saturdays or Sundays. Start date and time to be determined.

Agility Fun Match this weekend with Lagatha!! ❤️🐾 So much fun!!! 🥰

Agility Fun Match with Bosco!! ❤️🐾 Not too bad for a 16 month old!! 🥰

Since I posted the first heeling video with the 2 of them from last week, I figured I would post the next one from this past weekend. I'll try to stay current with how it's coming along :) The criteria - when given a "heel" command, I want both Lagatha & Bosco at my sides. Heel means right in beside me. They don't have to be walking silly or prancing or looking up at me but they must keep their shoulders lined up with mine. I had been planning Bosco on the left and Lagatha on the right but I just noticed they are on opposite sides in this video. I'll have to decide how absolute I want that to be. Rogue is along for the trip so she's just walking behind not too sure what the heck is going on 🤣 Just to add, there has been a good amount of training leading up to this starting at the beginning and here we are now! (Not even close to where we're going!!)

Real world dog training isn't actually that exciting. 🤣 Working through an off leash obedience course to step it up a notch! Anyone with multiple dogs knows it gets more challenging when they have each other to feed off!! Good start though my dogs!! 🥰🐾

Loose leash walking! For me, my criteria for my dogs is you may not pull me ... EVER. You may walk in front, beside, behind but you must pay enough attention to me to know where I am and you may not pull. 🐾🐕💕

Engage with your dog! Even at the park, I make sure to take some time to work my dogs 🙂

Walking nicely on a leash. This is one of my favorite things to train. In my opinion, every owner should be able to walk their dog and yet this is something so many people struggle with. The walk is a great bonding exercise for the pack - walking together, exploring the world, becoming one unit. It should not be the human getting dragged around and injured. It should not be the dog barking and lunging and acting like a fool. This owner has been unable to walk her dog for 2 years. Imagine that? Not because she didn't want to, but because it was dangerous. She was getting yanked and pulled and dragged. She actually thought he might be a lost cause. Although we have more work to do, she saw it is very possible. That first walk where the owner realizes this can be her life, is the best feeling! If this is something you struggle with, send me a message and let's change that!

Loose Leash Walking! Another super important thing to teach your dog. This is Bosco at Woofaroo - so many distractions : other dogs and people and kids and food and loud noise and chaos! I don't need him to walk in a perfect heel (unless I've asked for it!) but I expect him not to pull or react and just be with me!
