EASTER WEEKEND CLOSURE

We will be taking our annual extended weekend break to allow everyone to spend time with family and friends.

Both clinics will be closed from Friday March 29th through Monday April 1st, so plan ahead if you need any medication or food refills. Beach Cottage Veterinary clinic will reopen for normal hours at 10am on Wednesday April 3rd.

If you have an emergency please call 780 967 5152 and leave a message including your phone number. Dr Sarah will get back to you to discuss the best option for your pet.

Hoping we might all be able to pack away those ice grippers for the year!

SUNDAY JANUARY 14TH: CLOSED!

Our pipes are frozen so we have had to close today and tomorrow. We are contacting everyone with appointments, but if you have items to pick up or questions about sick pets please call 780 967 5152 and we will see what we can work out

HOLIDAY TIME AROUND THE CORNER!!
Only a week left until we take our annual break to allow everyone at both clinics to enjoy time with friends and family.
Both locations will be closed from December 24th through January 1st. Please make sure you have any medications or special diets needed by your pets so that you do not run out. Please contact us before Monday for any refill requests of routine medications as this will be the last chance to order.
If your pet experiences any urgent medical issues while we are closed, you can call the main clinic (780 967 5152), leave a brief message including your telephone number, and Dr Sarah will call you back to discuss options.

HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND REVISED HOURS

Wishing everyone a good May long weekend and fingers crossed for some of that rain and mud to play in, and to help get those fires under control.

We are now open on Sundays again, and will be open Sunday May 21st but closed for the Holiday on Victoria Day, May 21st. Plan ahead and call if you will need any food or medication refills.

If you have an emergency on Monday please call 780 967 5152 and leave a message. We will discuss the issue and decide the best option for helping your pet.

We regret that due to staff shortage we will have to close our Beach Cottage location on Sundays from March 5th 2023 until further notice.

We will continue to be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am to 5pm

If you have an emergency please call 780 967 5152 for the Veterinarian on call to triage your pet's problem and choose the best option for it

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Dr Sarah is still in Alberta! The weather disruptions messed up flight connections so I have postponed my visit to see family until later in the year. At least I didn't get stuck in an airport for days!

Enjoying more seasonal weather here than I would be there! Hope you are able to enjoy the milder weather.

Thank you again for being such fantastic clients and supporting our two clinics through 2022

Halloween is nearly here, 🎃 So we thought we would do something fun! COSTUME CONTEST! Drop your pets pitcure in the comments to enter and win a prize!! 🛍️🐾 Or.. Come treat your pets! Stop in on Monday the 31st we will be handing out treats for your pet! We also have some great handouts about halloween safety, have their picture taken with our Halloween display!

STAFF APPRECIATION DAY!

With summer winding down we are giving all our staff from the 2 clinics a day off to relax and have fun together, something that we have not had a chance to do for a few years!

Beach Cottage will be closed on Sunday September 18th, so please make arrangements to pick up any medications on an alternative day.

We will be open again as usual on Monday September 19th, and the main Lac Ste. Anne Veterinary Clinic at Gunn will be open on Saturday September 17th. Please call ahead to 780 967 5152 so that we can have things ready for you.

Beach Cottage Veterinary Clinic was opened in 2016 by Lac Ste. Anne Veterinary Services to provide a convenient basic care center for dogs and cats in the Village of Alberta Beach and surrounding areas. Originally planned as a summer only location, support of local pet owners led us to keep this facility open year round, and we have recently expanded our hours to 4 days a week!

Veterinarians Dr Sarah Fryer and Dr Brenda Hymanyk are available to see pets for wellness exams, vaccines and minor illnesses and injuries. Assisted by Registered Animal Health Technologists Kayla DeGroot and Cheyenne Nichols we equipped to run basic blood and urine tests, and to take x rays. General assistants Kim, Jennifer, Trish, Shauna, Serena and Jordyn help keep everything running smoothly. Patients with more serious problems can also be seen, but may need to be sent on to our main full service clinic in Gunn.

We coordinate closely with the main clinic in Gunn, allowing us to schedule appointments, arrange for prescription and food pick up, and even collection of samples for laboratory tests at whichever location is most convenient for you. Between the two locations, our opening hours cover 7 days a week, except for major holidays.

Emergency service outside our normal opening hours is handled by Lac Ste. Anne Veterinary Clinic who can always be contacted at 780 967-5152. If we do not answer, please leave a message and wait for the Veterinarian on call to phone you back.
