Today we had a visit at the shelter from dear friends from the Netherlands who came especially to visit our dogs
I've seen a lot and had all kinds of cases, but this is one of the most difficult cases I've ever had. I got a call to take over and help a dog that we assume was hit by a car. Both hind legs are broken with open infected wounds.
The front left leg was also broken. The dog was starved because, probably due to its injuries, it could not get food and it is literally bone and skin. The dog needs urgent intensive veterinary care and hospital treatment.
Considering that we already have bills that we have not paid, the dog will not be admitted to the hospital without money. The dog in this condition cannot be accepted.
There are only two options either the hospital or to leave her on the street.
We can't even collect enough for food, treatment has unfortunately become impossible even for cases like this!

Another dog was left 200 meters from the shelter. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to help abandoned dogs. In the last few weeks, there have been almost no donations and help. We took the generator for repair that broke down and on the way to the service station on a very busy road someone left two puppies without food and water in +40 degrees!
I couldn't leave them there even though in the last two weeks we haven't collected even 5 days worth of food, not to mention the vet bills!
The fight is getting harder and I'm getting weaker and weaker.
Someone just left them in front of the shelter! They weren't there an hour ago!

Today I got a call to pick up an old retriever who is very neglected. The dog has a large, neglected wound on his inner thigh that is full of pus and smells very bad. The dog is in a terrible condition but still full of life! Maybe most of you think that he is it's irresponsible to take on a dog like this in our situation because he needs urgent intensive veterinary care, but I couldn't leave him tied up under a severe infection, and the owners certainly didn't want to treat him, they just wanted to get rid of him at any cost!
