Just a reminder, especially as we are all drinking lots of fluids, I collect aluminium cans to recycle, to support providing funds for the dogs in my care, you can drop them at Fatcatz Mobility shop in Frenaros, or pop over to see the dogs and bring the cans with you 😀

In April we will be sending another shipment of much needed supplies to Cyprus.

We need your help in obtaining as much food as possible so we can make a real difference to each rescuer we donate to.

We need to fill a 40ft container. We are more than half way there but stocks will be depleted when we send to Romania in the next two weeks.

Where ever you are you can help us by buying dog and cat food on-line and shipping to us. We have a wish list you can visit which has examples of value for money food that won't break the bank.

If you are local to Newcastle we will happily pick-up from you, so why not see what you can collect as a group of friends, family or colleagues.

On average, 1.5 cans of food will feed a 10kg dog for a day and a 15kg bag of kibble will feed one dog for a month. So if just 10% of our supporters bought a 24 can pack we could feed 100 dogs for an extra month, or if they bought a bag of kibble we could feed 200 dogs for an extra month.

That is an extra month where the rescuer can spend money on much needed vet fees and health essentials other than food.

Hey...all those amazing Barney fans...

So, the second opinion also diagnosed a malignant sarcoma (which type is not yet identified).

The surgery will be long and not necessariy easy as an area approx 2cm needs to remove from aroûnd the tumour, so the wound will be quite extensive , the tumour itself is now the size of a large ring doughnut,

He wil need a skin flap and grapt to tthe operatiom site

The good news is that the vets feel they can extend and enhance his quality of life 😅

How long for...we dont know

But we are rooting for him every step of tee

So, booked in for 8am Momday xrays, formal biopsies to UK for best results...and to crack straight on with the surgery

This huge task is going to cost around 600€ with transfusion, bloods, other investigations and a lengthy procedure
