We are the volunteers of the Famagusta Shelter! Gazimagusa Hayvanlara Yardim dernegi. We are the volunteers of the Famagusta Shelter.

Our aim is to find a home for each and every dog in the shelter. We also work towards making a better life for the dogs who do not get rehomed and are living in the shelter. Gazimagusa barinaginin gonulluleriyiz ve amacimiz barinaktaki tum kopeklere yuva bulabilmektir. Yuva bulamadigimiz kopeklerin ise hayatlarini guzellestirmeye calisiyoruz.

We had our FARC AGM recently and agreed the membership fees for 2024. So if anyone is interested in becoming a member of FARC which will help us to support the 400-500 dogs and puppies at the Famagusta Shelter, please complete the Membership Application return it to [email protected] and send 750TL which will be for 2024.

One of the things we discussed at the AGM was the importance of starting the neutering programme again at the shelter as well as street dogs neutering. This all costs money and your contribution by joining FARC will help us achieve that, so please join and be part of the solution 🙏🐾

I think its safe to say that eveyone had a great time today at the Famagusta Shelter visit event, our volunteers, the final university students and creditwest all came to spoil the dogs! 😍🐾 the dogs were washed, walked, loved and had an amazing time, thank you to everyone who took their time to come and be present for the babies today we highly appreciate you ❤️

You may have gone over the rainbow bridge to doggy heaven but you will always be around in all our hearts forever 💔
We remember the day you came to us at the shelter, corrrr years n years ago that was .:.. your were an energy ball with a cheeky character that made us all laugh so much and let’s face it back then laughter wasn’t that much there 🥰

Catching u was another story to medicate you for ticks n fleas 🤣 took us ages to get that down you 😜

Then your mum Gill May saw your pictures and was completely smitten by your handsome looks ❤️ that’s when ur life changed forever Spikey boy and it also showed others how easy it was to adopt a shelter dog (many more were adopted after you)

Over the years we have seen you grow and flourish into an amazing dog
