URGENT FOSTER NEEDED!!

PLEASE SHARE!!

These two little puppy hunting dogs were found abandoned in a banana plantation.
Only about two months old with swolen bellies and super hungry.
They shouldn't be in the shelter unvaccinated and vulnerable. They are also scared of the big dogs barking especially when they don't have their mommy to comfort them.
Before going into foster they will be dewormed, vaccinated and vet checked.
Please open your heart to these two little adorable cuties!! ❤️

About 6 years ago I was unfortunate enough to get non-aggressive breast cancer and I had it removed. I didn't have money for radiotherapy at the time so I took special medication for 5 years following doctors orders.
Sadly a few months ago the cancer has returned. I am insured now so I was able to have an MRI and a Cat Scan. After the results were in I was told I needed a mastectomy, complete removal of the breast. So last week I had the operation and after a few days in hospital I have been recuperating at home. For the next couple of weeks I am not allowed to lift anything and I have to take it easy. In a few weeks I will know which therapy I will need going forward.

I am very pleased Indika is looking after the dogs in the shelter, he is doing a great job.
But we really need to get the new temporary shelter up and running. I have had another warning from the municipality that time is running out. There are 35 dogs there now and they need to be moved from there asap.

We really need to get the job done asap and I'm hoping some of you will volunteer! There are a few things left to do to make the new shelter ready for the dogs.

1) the doors need to be made and hinged
2) the corrigated iron roofs need to be mounted
3) the water tanks need to be installed
4) snake fencing raised around the dens.

URGENT!!
Foster NEEDED!

Yesterday two dogs were found collapsed in a carpark near TLC and Sea Caves.
They were brought to the vet and treated for dehydration. They are very friendly and they need a temporary place to stay.
Vet and food costs will be covered.
Please , please , please. Someone has offered a small fee for anyone willing to look after them for a few weeks. Please contact 96232855 if you are interested.

Buster was adopted a few weeks ago by Tony Healy in Anarita. He had always had border collies and liked Buster at first sight when he saw him on Facebook. Soon after Buster was on his way to his forever home. After a few weeks Tony called me and said Buster was not eating well and would lie quietly in a corner of the room. Tony was worried and knew Buster was not ok. Could he be missing his partner in crime, his sister who was still in the shelter? He was almost sure that was it. So we decided to reunite the two and now they are both in their new home and running and playing together and going for long walks.
I guess they were never meant to be apart!
Thankyou Tony for going the extra mile to make these two doggies feel happy and loved.

Kelly and Dora are sisters and around 3 months old. They were found after the fire in Kelokadera, hence their names Kelly and Dora.
Lucky for them they are in foster but it's only temporary. They are a bit shy and still need some time to trust people but they are getting more confidant every day. They are ever so sweet and playful. They are doing good on their potty training and are using puppy pads really well. They have had their second jab, are microchipped and have their own healthbooks.

Our furniture charity shop in coastal Kissonerga has been expanded! This means more beds and tables on show and the chance to try them out.
We hope you come and visit us soon!
A massive thankyou to all our volunteers who worked so hard to make this happen, especially John and Val who, in this incredible heat have managed to move heavy sofas and beds from one shop to another. Thanks everyone, you are all amazing.

5 puppies were found dumped in a field in the sun without water, dehydrated and almost in shock. Luckily someone passed by and took them quickly to his home and took care of them. They are alright now, but they need a foster home to go to! We are lookibg for anyobecwho could possibly Vicente take just one or two of them. All their medical needs and food will be covered. We can provide bedding , a doggy basket, bowls and toys.

These poor puppies need a home desperately. Their mommy died recently and they are only two months old. They live in a villa near the shelter.
They will most likely also be small because their mommy was a small Yorkshire Terrier cross.
They do still need to start their puppy jabs very soon.

Buster is a 1.5 year old collie cross. He is super friendly and energetic. He was found with his sister on a sidewalk in Paphos town more than a year ago. Luckily he went into foster and was even adopted together with his sister. Sadly they both came back to the shelter after several months because the lady had taken two much on with two small kids and two growing puppies. Since then they have been back at the shelter.
Collies are very intelligent and love agility and doggy activities like flyball.
Buster has been neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Diva is a 1.5 year old female, crossbreed who is very friendly and energetic. She and her brother were found abandoned on the sidewalk in Paphos town only a few weeks old. They were lucky to go into foster and were even adopted together but sadly after several months they returned to the shelter. The lady had two small kids and having two young puppy dogs as well was just too much of her to handel. Diva is a lovely, affectionate dog and loves a cuddle.
Diva is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.

Chuck is around 10 months old, male foxhound cross. He was rescued as a puppy found in a box by the side of the road with his siblings.
He was lucky to go into foster for several months but has now been back at the shelter for a while.
He is a lovely boy, gentle and sweet and very sociable with other dogs.
He would make a great pet!
He is nuetered, vaccinated and microchipped.

We need volunteers desperately for this saturday to help build the shelter. We are connecting the fencing sheets to the frames and prepping the doors.

We are building at the new location again near Tsada.
Everyday this week I will be at the fruit market Theofanis at the turn off to Tsada at 8 am. From there we can go to the new shelter location.
Hope to see as many people as possible! We need to set up the shelter as soon as possible.

Our Fashion Show at the Saphire Bar & Diner went really well and we raised 540€. Thanx everyone!
Firstly we want to thank Kim Verkaik for singing her lovely songs. She was dressed in one of the shops pretty dresses studded with diamonds!
We sold a lot of dresses and other outfits and had an exciting raffle.
Thanx to Sarah and Val for organizing the show and the models Tracy, Linda, Sita, Susan, Jean and Annette for fashioning the clothes from our shops. They were amazing. Thanx to John for compering ( just making it in time getting back from the airport and a holiday in Poland!), and last but not least the Saphire team! Enjoy the pictures.

Hello everyone,
We have a proffessional builder coming to the new site of the temporary shelter. He is coming thursdsy and friday all day! But he needs some helping hands to get the job done!
If you have some spare time please come and help us set up the shelter.
We urgently have to move to this new location because of problems with our landlord.
