I am an animal behaviourist and welfare scientist, passionate about dogs and improving their welfare. In 2012, I introduced animal physiotherapy to Cyprus, opening my own rehabilitation centre for small animals. I recently completed a course in canine exercise rehabilitation to ensure I continue to offer the highest standards in my work as an animal rehabilitation specialist, focussing on dogs suf

fering from orthopaedic and/ or neurological conditions. I hold an MSc in Animal Welfare (Distinction) from The University of Edinburgh, a BSc in Animal Behaviour (First Class Honours) from Anglia Ruskin University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy, a Certificate in Canine Exercise Rehabilitation, and I am a Member of the Royal Society of Biology.

Biography

Stephanie Karageorgis holds an MSc with Distinction in Animal Welfare and a First Class Honours BSc in Animal Behaviour. Her area of particular interest is in emotional expressivity in dogs - the focus of her postgraduate thesis. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy and is an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Biology.

Stephanie has always had an interest in nature, with a particular passion for dogs and their welfare. She got her first dog, Nelson (a Cyprus rescue), when she was 13 years old, and this special boy sparked an intense fascination in the unique dog-human relationship, which has shaped her education and career. She now shares her home with another rescue dog, Bella.
