- أُنشئ المتحف الحيواني بحديقة الحيوان بالجيزه عام ١٩٠٦م و تم نقله الي موقعه الحالي في العام ١٩١٤م و قد تم افتتاحه للجمهور في العام ١٩٢٠ م ، و تم تجديده عامي ١٩٦٢ ، ١٩٨٨م و تطويره و اعادة افتتاحه في أغسطس عام ٢٠١٥م ، و هو مكون من ثلاث طوابق و قد صُممت بانورامات المتحف لتناسب البيئات الطبيعية التي تتميز بالتنوع البيولوجي و تضم مجموعه قيمه من الثدييات و الطيور و الزواحف المحنطة
النادره أو المنقرضة في الطبيعه ، و يوجد بالدور الارضي أكبر و أضخم عرض مفتوح لهياكل الحيوانات البريه مثل هيكل الحوت و هيكل الفيل و هيكل الزراف و هيكل الخرتيت و مجموعه أخري متنوعه من الهياكل الرائعه ، و يحتوي أيضًا علي مجموعه فائقة الجمال من رؤوس الحيوانات البريه و جماجم الحيوانات مدون عليها تاريخ التحنيط ، يضم مجموعة قيمه من الثدييات و الطيور و الزواحف بعضها نادر و منقرض من الطبيعه .
- و يوجد في المبني نفسه قاعتان احدهم تضم مجموعه علميه كامله للطيور المصريه و مجموعات أخري علميه من الزواحف و الثدييات و القوارض ، و القاعه الأخري تُنظم بها دورات تدريبيه للطلبه و المُهتمين بالحياه البريه علي يد متخصصين و ذلك لرفع الوعي البيئي للحفاظ علي الحياه البريه ، كما تحتوي علي بعض الصور الفوتوغرافية لكبار الشخصيات من الوفود التي زارت الحديقه قديما.
- The zoological museum in Giza Zoo was established in 1906 and was moved to its current location in 1914 , it was renovated in 1962 , 1988 and was developed and reopened to the public in August 2015 , the museum consists of three floors , the ground floor has the largest open display of wild animals skeletons , such as elephant, giraffe , whale ,rhino and a group of other animals skeletons , it also contains a collection of wild animals heads and skulls documented with mummification date , the first floor displays panoramas of the different animal environments , it contains a wonderful collection of valuable stuffed mammals , birds , and reptiles , some species of extinct and endangered animals .
- And there are 2 halls in the same building each one of them is joined with a full scientific collection of Egyptian birds and other scientific collections of reptiles , mammals and rodents , and the other hall runs training courses for the students and other individuals who are interested in wild life under the supervision of experts and this is to raise awareness for the wild life and its protection, as it also contains portraits of important characters of the delegations that had visited the zoo in the past .
