I had to do the expected photo 🙄, hoping my siblings got lots of treats and a stuffed toy to play with.

Had a lovely walk with siblings, Jaxson, Honey and Nugget and wee Lassie came along too. Lots of attention for us Goldies with a few photoshoots along the beach front. Had some treats at the end of our walk too. Love our Birthday get togethers .🐾🐕💖

Wow, what a 6th Birthday 🥳. I had a great day, with bonnie cards and one had lots of pics of me and my Auntie Millie ❤️.
I got a new Highland Cow to take to bed with me and some great treats too. But have to say that my trip to Fusion was so much fun, training students in the pool.... I was a demo dog 🐕 😅.

The day was finished off with a visit to Foveran Ringcraft and cake 🎂, just the best Birthday.

A wee wander at Fyvie Castle today. . Mam forgot our towels so think the back of the car will be minging🤣🐾.

Lovely wee walk with lots of 🦆 to torment us and cute 🐑 too. Dad looks drookit, bet mam didn't take a towel for him either 🙄🤣🤣🤣

Love the wall paintings on the way out of the ward and was happy to pose after our visit today - no biscuits were consumed, honest 😀

Loved seeing everyone on the ward and I met some lovely people who were very happy to give me lots and lots of bosies 🤗.

Hoping to visit again very soon.

Enjoying my last Therapet visit as a sprightly 10 year old to Ward 305 and 306 Aberdeen Royal Infirmary last night, had lots and lots of bosies from folks who couldn't belive my age 😀.

Had a lovely visit to the Stroke Ward and well this was one spoilt wee Elf.

😍 Lots claps, ear rubs and quite a bit of tummy tickling too ❤️🐾❤️ was had and Barley loved all her cuddles from everyone she met tonight.

Oor hoomans have been quite sad of late as they recently lost one of their favourite people to a horrible illness called Motor Neurone Disease (MND😥). Mum said that we all need to do something to let people know more about it and to help raise money to fight it too. So we said that we could go for walks with Mum and maybe people would sponsor us? Mum agreed and so we signed up for the MND Walk 75 Miles in October Challenge. This has meant lots of extra dog walks, not just the normal daily walks. When we have been out pounding our paws, Mum has been with us every walk, but sometimes Dad has come too and we have been very lucky to have lots of friends - hairy and hooman - come to help push Mum on. We have had lots of fun doing this challenge and have found lots of new walks to take the hoomans out on, most have had water to swim in, but that may well be due to the weather rather than being near to rivers and ponds🌧🌧🌧. Mum has used the word 'dreepin' after lots and lots and lots of these walks, we were dreepin too, but that just made the walks more fun for us, not so much for Mum🤭🤣. So the challenge is over on Tuesday night, 2 more walks to do, but we have achieved the target today 75 miles in the bag! so these extra miles will help spread the word even further and who knows, maybe raise a few more pounds too.? Us Thistleyhill Goldies have been having a great time and thought that we would share some of the pics taken along the way to show our progress. Thanks to everyone who have sponsored us, Mum is trying to send messages to everyone as she is very grateful for every donation. ❤️💷🐾🐶🥰

Well I have gone and done it!

For all those naysayers (Hooman Mum) I proved this Golden is as good as Gold 😊😁 and have done the hat-trick, Bronze, Silver and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizens award.

I think I deserve big bosies and lots of treats..... what do you think 🤔

Fun times for us, oor family and friends 🐾🥰

Us goldies have just come home from our summer holidays and oh wow did we have fun. We went camping, well us 'mature' ones have been camping before, but this was a first for baby Brooke. Have to say she did not bad, but the 4.30am alarm calls with the birds is gonna have to stop, the humans were needing matchsticks!!

We went to visit where our rellies came from and didn't realise there were so many of us 😲, it felt like there were thoooosands of us, all shapes, sizes and colours but all Golden Retrievers! We had Maddie with her hoomans Isobel and Dave come with us on oor holidays and we also had a catch up with Ghillie too, his humans had been to the 'gathering' before and kept oor humans right - glad someone did....

On Tuesday we did a 'torchlight' parade, it was well past oor bedtime but just to keep the hoomans happy we did the walk and then they - apart fae Mum cause she was driving - has a wee nip o' whisky to toast Lord Tweedmouth - apparently he was the mannie who thought that oor breed would be a grand addition to his gundogs☺️. When the toasting and clapping to the Laird was finished they started singing 'If I could walk 500 miles', well we had a conflab and we decided that the only walking we were doing was back to the car, so gently manoeuvred the hoomans doon the track to the carpark.

Wednesday was a chill day for us, aye in mair ways than one! Off on our adventures we found a path to Loch Ness, we were told to watch oot for a beastie called Nessie and that she might not like us swimming in her pond🙄, nae idea fit they were gibbering on about, but nae hairy beasties but us in there. Had a great time swimming but heck the water wisnae warm🥶, had to shake, shake and shake again to stop the dreepin! But Mum did give us a quick blow dry when back at the camp. We had lots of visitors to our tent, so many pics too.... well we do love a photoshoot🥰.
Thursday was a big get together for the breed, you might have seen us on TV, well to be fair, there was nearly 500 of us, so picking oot us Thistleyhill goldies from the crowd would be hard, but we were affa lucky to be in the 'photo' with Dad Archie and Auntie Annie close by, Maddie was by oorside too. Back at camp it was shower and pjs on for the Champ Show next day, would have said early to bed but Mum had to improvise in getting us 'show' ready... nae sure if she did good as we didn't get any places but oh wow did we get a lot of sausages 😋 that worked for us!!

Sadly this morning we were told it was packing up time, 😔 military operation packing everything up and us into the car, oor hoomans work hard and sure the car was bursting at the seams.

We had one last walk around Ness Bay Camp Site and said goodbye to all the other goldies and holiday dogs, even had a whinny from the horses.

We will definitely have to come back, loved our holibobs and camping adventures 🥰

may have just finished but Barley, Bentley, and Bronte are just too cute not to share! 🐕‍🦺

They've been visiting the stroke ward at ARI with their owner Jacqui Finnie since 2014. Jacqui has been a Therapet volunteer since 2009 and has been visiting the Stroke Ward at ARI since 2014. Although a regular in the Stroke Ward, they have visited other areas of ARI who have been in need of a "hairy bosie".

Jacqui said: "I feel very privileged to be able to share my dogs with patients, their friends and family, and staff alike. Since 2014 we have been made so welcome and have developed such respect for the Stroke team. Bronte is now 10½ and continues to enjoy her visits, her energy definitely steps up a notch when she steps into the hospital and will happily be petted by whoever is passing in the corridor. Bronte, Bentley, and Barley truly enjoy their visits, they know where they are headed and there is a spring in their step going into the ward."

We enjoyed a birthday get together today for a few of the family where great fun was had by all. Pups thoroughly enjoyed themselves at Purity Paws Pooch Park where the weather was kind to us with a wee hint of sun. 🐕🌞🐾

Celebrating their 5th Birthday at Crathes, Honey, Barley and Megan. Sadly not everyone able to come along😥 so Bronte, Bentley and Brooke made up the numbers.

We had a fantastic walk and there were lots of swimming opportunities, not all of them in water.... eh Megan? Met some really lovely people and their dogs along the way and loved how they all had a hoolie together🥰🐾🥰

Whilst having a cuppa, we had some visitors from young pups Red and Dougal and their families 😍

Bronte as the elder in the family, was of course on her best behaviour.... eh not! Look at her expecting her afternoon tea at the table.... at 10 years old, we doubt she will ever mature🤔.

A fantastic day with friends and dog family, hope to do it all again soon.

Just a wee hello on my way home from ARI. Had such a lovely visit this evening with super bosies from a coothie team of Doctors and Nurses as well as some great ear rubs from people in the ward.

Was a busy visit with so many people wanting a wee doggy 'pick-me-up' and of course I was very happy to oblige.

Hooman mum decided to call time when my nose started twitching at the smell of the cornbeef hash.... she really is no fun🙄.

Bentley here 🐾

Just finished catching up with everyone in the ward❤️. Was able to enjoy a few cuddles from staff and visitors as well as spreading my 💖 to the patients.

Enjoyed a wee bit of therapy from a little hooman, was really cute and got my ears rubbed😍😍

Well that is me off home for my tea.... hope Mum is making something special 🤔😉🐾 😘

What a week!

Yesterday I was a good girl and got my KC Good Citizen Silver Award, yeah 💜🐾. Hooman Mum had her doubts but hooman Dad didn't, he knew I would do it👏🐕.

Then, tonight...... well look at me,
I passed my assessment to become a Therapet🥰😍.
I am so excited to say that I will soon be able to visit hoomans and these lucky peeps will be able to enjoy my special bosies🥰.

Been a busy week so far and I is a bit tired with all the excitement, so will head to my bed, sweet dreams everyone😘😴
