Massive congratulations to Alison Hamilton of Pawsome Trails for passing her Trail Hunt International Grade Test assessor assessment today.

Alison will be assessing to Grade 2.

Becoming a Grade Test Assessor involves completing the relevant Grade Test as the Excellence Variation.

For level two this was a 450metre trail with 4 turns and over multiple surfaces. This trail was run Blind and also without any one following behind.

Fantastic work by Alison & Mac.

Based in our private venue, the Foundation Course covers the basic obedience necessary to move onto Level 1.
It consists of two, 2 hour sessions.

This lovely lab is experiencing some difficulties with life and her marvellous Mom is doing everything she can to alleviate them.
This picture demonstrates how giving her a job, Trail Hunt International in a 1 - 1 session can boost her confidence and show her that life isn’t such a scary place.
I feel privileged to be part of her journey.

Super session concentrating on junctions, indications, decoys amongst other things.
We transitioned from daylight to complete darkness and the dogs did brilliant indications on high finds.
Well done everyone it was a really enjoyable afternoon.

We had a great time on our first Trail Hunt International Club day.
Long session,long trails and so interesting to see how the different dogs worked. We were in a private secure venue so could confidently let the dogs work their own way without any worries.
Next one Sunday, can’t wait!

I’m pleased to announce I have attended the relevant CPD course to continue being an accredited Mantrailing Global Instructor.
This ensures clients get instruction following MTGs (formerly MTUK) methods that have been successfully training people and their dogs in Mantrailing since 2018.

Beautiful evening so thought I’d lay a short trail for my 2.
I don’t do as much with them as I would like but I was really pleased with both of them.
Dolly has always been more accurate than Mac but he slowed himself and was on it tonight apart from a little deviation.
There are multiple little turns on the trail as well as surface transitions.

Hides at different heights and in different things letting us practice indications. ☑️

Walking trail layers indicated. ☑️

Working scent pools and scent drifts. ☑️

Taking scent from novel environmental articles. ☑️

Managing to stay upright in the mud! ☑️

Bit late in posting but our Halloween trail was a howling success.
One team trailing in the dark for the first time and producing some spectacular trails.
A return of an old favourite that showed he hadn’t forgotten a thing.
The little pocket rocket showing although small ‘she ain’t afraid of no ghost’ and our old girl showing she wasn’t spooked by the walking trail layer with an inflatable pumpkin head!

Although we had loads of fun,the dogs were brilliant at all the different skill sets they were given.
Relaxed, happy handlers translate to the dogs who produced some fantastic trailing.
Thanks to all of you for making it such a great night.
