Moosies meadow drying up nicely thankfully.
Muddy in some spots but you have 9.6acres to walk on so you can avoid the muddy areas.
Signs of life with a promise that spring is close.

The last few weeks have been challenging with the weather, trees down, shed roof felt ripped off in moosie's meadow, more trees down, flooding, a few more trees down. And today we had to replace the roof felt in the orchard that got ripped off and as yet have not found the missing roof felt! God knows where it blew away to!.
The water is slowly disappearing but it's got pretty muddy especially around the parking area.
I never thought I'd say this as all summer I prey for rain but I am sick of it now 🤣☂️

Still no answer from my insurance company about XL bullies using the field!!!!
I'm getting a bit fed up now, several emails have had no response.

The orchard is flooded even the parking area is flooded now so I am shutting it tomorrow and probably the next day.
Please reschedule bookings for at least a few days.
We will see what mother nature does.
I know loads of dogs love the water but this is too much now

You would think this was the orchard but it's moosie's meadow!
I have never seen it this wet and the road is flooded in several places on the way to it.
I am shutting it tomorrow and If the rain continues like this I will close moosies meadow till the wet subsides

I would love to wish you all a happy new year., .and i do but......
For thousands of XL bullies, and Xl bully types, people in rescue centres, police, dog wardens, and vets this will not be a happy year sadly.
Tomorrow the XL bully will be added to the dangerous dogs act as banned breeds, This means they cannot be legally rehomed by rescue centres, meaning a life in kennels or being put to sleep because their bodies meet certain measurements, and they have certain body characteristics.
Their temperament means nothing with this law, just how they look.
I hate breed specific bans, they did this with the pit bull, and as a dog warden, if we had unclaimed pit bulls in the kennels and the police identified them as such we had to have the dogs destroyed.
This is one of the reasons i left the job.
It is cruel law. And one i do not support.
Yes these breeds have caused death to people, and that is unacceptable, i cannot imagine anything worse than being killed by a dog, but that is more about the bad breeders, and the bad people that get them.
This law may stop this breed, but there will be another breed at some point, there always is.
Humans are the problem, not the dog!

Please check weather forecast before you book, and also be aware that the orchard is very wet and getting very muddy, moosies meadow is fairing better but very waterlogged.
I am happy to reschedule your appointments but let me know sooner rather than later

Not impressed with my business insurance as still no answer on the XL bullies using the fields......the law change is 1 day away and no answer, i think i will be changing who insures me from now on.
XL bully owners please bare with me, i have no information to give you yet

Every time I go away whatever time of year this happens and I have to come back to clear the trees and repair fence.
Sorry to those of you I had to cancel visits this morning but all sorted now just have to wait for drier weather to move the wood. The upside is I have plenty of firewood.
Orchard had no damage to trees in field amazingly but the wind has not stopped yet and the ground is so wet.... tomorrow may bring more problems hopefully not as it took 4 hours to clear this lot.

I am hoping to have a few days of no work or phone calls over Christmas.

So please can my visitors make sure all bookings are paid for 24 hours at least in advance
Please remember to have the code with you as i will be trying to ignore the phone.
But please do let me know if there any problems, problems would be fallen trees, damage or a faulty padlock. I will be around and if not my friend will be able to deal with any problems.

Christmas without moose is going to be a hard one, but going to try and make new happy memories with just me and Flea and try not to cry everytime we do a walk that we used to do with Moose

Yesterday falling tree's cleared.
Today refelting the shed!
Stupid wind ripped it off.

Quite pleased the shed didnt fall down when I was sat on top putting nails in. Thanks to my lovely friends for helping me out x
Oh and a flat tyre on the tractor

Regarding XL Bullies i am still waitig for insurance to confirm, this is yesterdays email.
Our policies and any extensions are still being reviewed by our underwriters and we are now awaiting their final decision on what can be offered to our policy holders. We should receive this information before the weekend.



Once we have this confirmed information we will be able to inform you of what extensions are available.

Me and my friend went to the tree shop this week.

We wanted to plant a tree for our dogs that we both had to say goodbye to this year.

We both fell in love with the beautiful Japanese cedars.
So we bought one each 😬

Both should do well in my clay soil. They have been added to the remembrance circle by the shed.

Both amazing dogs, and missed sooooooooo much.

So moosies meadow has another 2 trees now ❤️

It's a bit wet in the orchard and getting a bit muddy mainly by car park area, this won't change quickly but my friends dogs don't care 😂 only the humans that are bothered.
So bring wellies or reschedule your appointment if you don't want a soggy doggy

Moosies meadow is now the new name for the big field 😁😁😁😬❤️😬😬😬❤️

All website and booking system should now be called moosie's meadow, it will say In most places (formerly the big field).

If you see any missed please let me know as it was quite a big task for my IT friend, but means so much to me ❤️

Now just need a beautiful sign for the meadow. And a beautiful tree for my Moose .

I will need to make some changes on Facebook to over the next week

Lovely couples business, sell lush coffee, and really interesting quality food and other products.
Small businesses need our support.

They do some lush deserts as well

And Joe's home made meals are the best if your feeling lazy

Lots more rain forecast tonight and tomorrow, I may have to shut the orchard as pretty sure she will be very flooded tomorrow.

Please remember the road works in frampton, there will be a diversion that will make it a longer journey than usual.
All details are on the posts a few days ago. 4th till 11th Monday to Friday 9 till 3, they are not there at weekend.
Please either reschedule your appointment if you don't want to do diversion or leave earlier and look at previous post about the road closures

Me and Flea slowly adapting to life without him.
