Wanting a larger bouquet for a gift or special occasion?
No problem, we'll tailor to your budget, drop us a message.

This went out this morning. And if I had to picture a bunch of flowers that epitomises Turn Wilder style, I think it would be this: soft colour palette, garden favourites, wildflowers, little surprise details... I love flowers!

Vase testing a few garden flowers that I don't usually cut: rather spiky but quite dramatic acanthus, two different ferns, hypericum, alchemilla mollis. Quite different in tone to my usual softer colours and forms - what do you think?

What's "vase testing"? Trying out different flowers and foliage to make sure they hold up well in a vase with a decent life. I'll do this at least twice, enjoying the flowers in my home before that flower makes the cut to be included in bouquets that go out to customers. Not all garden flowers make decent cut flowers. I aim to ensure the flowers you buy will look great for at least 5 days. Sometimes I'd expect a few things to fade during that time, but as they do they should be replaced with other things opening more fully, so your arrangement isn't static but evolving. Of course if you are ever disappointed in the vase life of a particular bunch do let me know so I can put things right (and learn!).

Midsummer Sweet Pea Special Edition!

My sweet peas have gone absolutely crazy this month and I'm cutting them by the armload. But if I stop cutting they'll stop flowering!

So, for the next few weeks (while this sweetest of sweet pea season lasts) I'm offering a £15 two bunch "sweet pea combo" comprising:
- Bunch 1: A wrapped bunch of mixed summer flowers with a meadow vibe, together with
- Bunch 2: Two dozen sweet peas, mmmmm

Available for delivery Thursday through Sunday this week.

(£10 mixed wrapped bunches without the extra sweet pea bunch are still available if you prefer)

This summer we're excited to offer locally grown flowers for all those events you're planning!

Either:
1) A "bucket of blooms" for you to arrange yourself: £30 for 60 stems of flowers, filler and foliage, or
2) Drop us message or Whatsapp to get a quote for larger arrangements / table bud vases / etc

Flowers will be a mix of whatever's in season and looking its very best on the day. We love things that flow, dangle, twirl in a mix of subtle shades. As a small scale grower we can't promise a specific flower or colour pallette, it all depends on what mother nature has in store (but we can lean towards brighter or more muted tones as is your preference).

We'll only have capacity for one event each week through the summer (with week of 29th July and 5th August already blocked out) so do get in touch as early as you can if you want to get something booked in!

It's British Flowers Week this week!
But I don't really need to tell you all the great reasons to buy local seasonal flowers, because, well, here you are.

A huge thanks to all of you for supporting this teeny flower business (with huge dreams) over the past year. Whether you've bought flowers, followed me here or on Insta, liked, commented, shared or let me raid your garden for extras: your support means a lot.

All of which means more flowers, beetles, bees, bugs, butterflies
And no chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, airmiles, exploitation of workers and other nasties.

(Going out today to one of you 🙂)

Got home today and could hardly unpack the car before I was off to see what was flowering and pick myself a bunch.

The smell of the sweet peas! Mmmm
A lovely big green shiny (Rose Chafer?) beetle was kind enough to pose on Turn Wilder's signature flower for me.

Flowers at their best this week include sweet peas, ranunculus, oriental poppies and nigella.
£10 mixed "softly summer" bunches
Choose between a wrapped bunch or (shorter but fatter) wrapped jar
This week I can deliver Tues, Weds, Thurs or Friday only

Update: Sold out now until week of 3rd of June

Open over the rest of the bank holiday weekend, can deliver this evening / Sun / Mon / Tues but then I'll be taking a few days break to enjoy some down time with the family, so get orders in ASAP if you want flowers this week.

Bit of a transition time in the flower plot, lots of lovely things but two of these and three of those rather than big numbers of any one thing, so bunches this week will be £10 "mixed bunches" of whatever's looking its best which will almost certainly be one or two of our gorgeous rumpled oriental poppies and may also include the first sweet peas, very last peonies, last anemones, nigella and lots more.

Counted 12 ladybirds on my broad beans today. Not sure I've ever seen that many in one place. The thing about encouraging ladybirds to thrive and breed on your plants is you do need to put up with rather a lot of black bean aphids in the meantime

UPDATE: You guys were quick! Unfortunately not able to promise any further bunches until at least mid next week once I've filled current orders and can take stock.

Divided my peonies this winter and so they're mostly sulking, but I do have a precious few buds coming through to tuck into a couple of bouquets over the next week. Who will nab them?

And hot on their heels are some of my favourites: oriental poppies (pic right from last year). Although they're thought to have a relatively short vase life, I picked them still quite tightly budded and loved watching their crinkly petals unfurl over the next five or six days. Quite exquisite.

Also coming soon are alliums, foxgloves, sweet peas, nigella... definitely moving into a new season in the garden. Not quite summer, but not spring flowers either. It needs it's own word really

This time of year there's not yet much happening in my main flower beds, but my shady back garden is looking so gorgeous I couldn't resist sharing it.

This week we're again offering:
- 'Whimsical' spring mixed bunches. A softer style and more muted colour palette, whatever's looking its very best including some of these gorgeous garden beauties
- 'Anemone bunches' a brighter colour mix of predominantly blue, red and mauve anemones
£10 a bunch including delivery within Ashtead.

Wow everything's green isn't it? And every sunny windowsill of my house is groaning with seedlings. Flowers of course: marigolds, cosmos, zinnias, asters, rudbeckia, stocks... but also chilli's, gem squash, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes - none of which will be happy outside yet. Seedling tetris!

Anyway, back to what's happening this week we're offering
- "Whimsical" spring mixed bunches. A softer colour palette and looser style, helped by the arching stems of Solomon's seal and perhaps also wisteria if the timing's right
- "Anemone bunch" not just blues now but also reds, mauves & whites coming through. A simple bunch of mostly these bright beauties.

This week I'll again be offering free delivery within Ashtead - if it continues to work well I may make that permanent, comment below if you think I should - So just £10 a bunch including local delivery in KT21

When you go away for a few days the tulips go crazy!!
Loving those peachy tulip 'creme upstar' and the contrast of the darks 'black parrots'. Ooh 😍. These ones will only last a little while in the vase, because they're already open a day or two, so they're all for me!

But I've got enough still in the beds for at least a couple of bunches this week and next before we have to say goodbye to tulips for another season. £10 for wrapped mixed spring bunches or tulip & anemone jars.

Thanks for all the support. I've had the busiest flowery weekend since I launched Turn Wilder Flowers last spring and I've loved it.
Looking forward to a few days break while the flower beds have a chance to catch up. But with a bit of warmer weather on the way, I expect we won't have long to wait!

Sometimes get asked how long our flowers last. Tricky, because some of the most gorgeous garden flowers, the most dreamy, the ones I love for their movement and whimsy are also that bit more fleeting. Hellebores can be a bit like that.
For me it's about finding that balancing point between reliable vase life and still including some of those precious home grown beauties that florists don't stock.

This is on day 5 and still going strong.
The tulips smell lovely too - who knew they had scent?
