Is your horse suffering from the high pollen count lately?
Here are our top tips to help your horse be a little happier during the budding spring/summer period.
✅If you can identify what type of pollen your horse is sensitive to, it is easier to avoid the trigger. For example, if you know your horse is allergic to oilseed r**e, you could try to avoid taking your horse for a ride near any oilseed r**e fields, especially when it is at its peak
✅All of Allen & Page feeds contain Mint, Garlic, Cloves, Dandelion, Nettle, and Fenugreek, useful at this time of year, due to their well known properties
✅The use of a nose net can help ease your horse whilst riding and are usually permitted for use in competition
✅Stabling during the day, and turning out at night when the pollen count is low can sometimes benefit a horse suffering from pollen
✅In extreme cases, always contact your vet for advice!
