Just a friendly reminder now the weather is getting warmer, I don't clip / shave double coated breeds and here's why:

🐾 Clipping a double coat can permanently damage it

🐾 It doesn't help to keep your dog cooler in the summer, they need their double coat to regulate their body temperature

🐾 Clipping their coat puts them more at risk of getting heat stroke and sun burn

If you want to keep your double coated breeds happy in the warm weather, brush them regularly to remove dead undercoat, make sure they always have access to fresh drinking water and keep them in the shade during the day

The gentlest of giants, our Leo ❤️

Leo, being a big boy, isn't comfortable on the table, so we do his groom on the floor. I couldn't resist a photo when he set his big head on my knee during his blow dry 🥺 This is what dog grooming should be all about, making every dog feel safe and loved while they're in your care ❤️ He's the most handsome boy!
