Young Pedigree Beef Shorthorn bull for sale.
March 2023. By an EX90 bull and out of an Eva Broadhooks heifer (VG85 first calved heifer)
Nice young bull, will have a ring put in.
BVD accredited (and he was tag tested). Johnes level 1 and happy to test for anything else.
Selling as we have not had time to halter train him to get him out showing. Not pushed and good EBVs.

Pedigree Beef Shorthorn bull needing new ladies.
2018 born EX90 bull. Polled and zero myostatin. Fertile bull, cows generally calve in a week/2 week period.
Has been successfully shown, easy on the halter and easy to catch.
BVD accredited and Johnes level 1.
Happy to test him for more.
Sire line comes from Chapelton Typhoon and damsire Glenisla Explorer.
Easy calving. Lovely boy.

What a sweet heifer she is, easy to deal with and soooo pretty 😍
Dam classified VG86 as a 1st calved heifer and this heifer looks like she will follow on the same way.

Lovely day yesterday at Flintham and District Ploughing Match & Show
Sansa took Reserve Champion in the Native section and got a trophy too!
Sansa is entered into the BSH sale at Skipton in November.

Hot hot hot day out at Wragby Show & Country Fayre 2023 today.
It was our first visit to this show and we were shocked at how busy the classes were. An amazing turnout of commercial sheep and quite a job for the judge!
We had a successful day with Jets Y***o winning the ram.class, a ram lamb coming 2nd. Winning the haltered gimmer class with Rouge Gimmer Northern Aria and also the unhaltered Gimmer with a crossbred. Our little Beltex lamb won the butcher's lamb class and then Northern Aria took the Championship.
Northern Yvonne also had a crack at behaving in the young handlers class for a first time competitor and excelled.herself.
A lovely, well run show and a great day out.

Beef Shorthorn X Hereford. Fully Native bred beef slow maturing and grass fed. Born and raised here, at South Cliff Farm.

Due back from the butcher 1st/2nd September
The butcher will be putting together some beef boxes, we can say what's in them but weights will only be known on the day

1 x pack of mince (approx 450g)
1 x pack of stewing beef (approx 450g)

I have limited numbers of boxes available to pre order and these will need to be collected from the farm on the day we get it back.
We will have additional burgers, joints and steaks available. Prices to be worked out.

What an amazing 2nd day at Lincolnshire show.
Norworth Showman went in the Junior Championship and took Reserve Native Champion. The judge commented on what a lovely young bull he is. He really has behaved himself at his first big show. It was a bit hairy in yesterday's main ring cattle parade but we survived 🤣
Norworth Nonpariel Sansa decided that she couldn't let her showmate take all the glory and behaved well (mostly) for Summer to win her young handler class and then take the Championship!
All back home in bed now for a well deserved sleep in their own beds!

Fantastic day at Lincolnshire show. Norworth Showman won the Jnr Bull class and then went on to take reserve male champion and Junior Champion. This puts him forward for tomorrow's Junior Championship. Norworth Nonpariel Sansa won her maiden heifer class then went on to take reserve female champion and Reserve Junior champion. They then went onto win the pairs class which puts them into tomorrow's pairs interbreed pairs.
The sheep decided not to be outdone by the cattle and the lightweight butchers won their class and took Reserve champion. The heavyweight lambs came 2nd.
Hallcrake Beltex Hallcrake Granite won the commercial tup class. The Gimmers out of Routex ewes won their class and then took champion in the commercial section. The ewe lambs were disqualified due to a trimming error but the judge still looked at them and frustratingly said they would have won 🙈
The AOC started with Jets Y***o winning the aged tup and then taking Reserve male champion. The Rouge ewe came 2nd and the Gimmer took a 4th.

Tomorrow brings the group of 3 for the Rouge and the cattle classes. Fingers crossed 🤞

Finally got around to taking a picture of the Gimmer who took Commercial champion at Woodhall spa last week. She is out of a Routex ewe and was part of the champion trio at last year's GYS (butchers lambs)
