✅I’d like to introduce the lovely Arthur. He is looking for his new experienced 🏡 that can point him in the direction of a new career after racing. Arthur did have a good racing career but in the end decided he had enough and retired fully sound.

✅ Super kind and gentle personality, loves a brush and someone to spend time with him in the stable.

✅Arthur was for sale the beginning of April but due to the wet conditions he devolved bad mudfever so was taken off the market. Since his mudfever he has spent some time out in the field and is now coming back into work. Arthur is currently just hacking out a couple of times a week - please note he hasn’t done any schooling or jumping! He hacks alone and in company although can be nappy so needs someone that is experienced enough to encourage him on - he doesn’t do anything nasty, more just stops and thinks to himself that he can’t be bothered but with a confident reassuring rider he is more than happy. Walking trotting and cantering around fields. Having spent the last 5 years in racing it’s all he knows so he really does need someone with the experience that can bring his quality out and show him the ropes.

Nice easy type, good to groom, handle etc and no mareish behaviour. Would make a great eventer. Currently doing some light schooling and hacking out alone and in company.

15.2hh 4y/o thoroughbred mare looking for her new 🏡

I’d like to introduce Aurora. Super sweet girl looking for her new 🏡 where she’ll be given everything that she needs.

She retired sound from the track after a short racing career on the flat. Upon arriving to us she was very light and slim! She very much still needs more conditioning. We rode her purely to show her temperament under saddle but really she just needs some time out at grass.

No injuries or vices.

Good to handle in all ways, perfect to clip, worm and shoe. Up to date with all vaccinations, farrier, worming and just had her teeth done.

I will be very fussy on her new home as she is very special and needs someone that will give her the time she needs. Please message with what you can offer her, where you’re based and what your setup is.

The lovely Thomas went to his new forever home earlier this week. He has settled like a dream and very happy with his 2 girlfriends.

I contacted Matthew regarding Thomas, I asked loads of questions all were answered quickly and truthfully by Matthew. I decided to buy unseen as I was a long way away and Matthew straight away sent so many videos even braving down pour to video, he arranged transport with a very professional and lovely lady and when Thomas arrived he was actually far better then we imagined, Matthew had bathed him for us and made it clear he wanted to know Thomas’s arrival and how he settled first night. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy unseen again from Matthew and absolutely recommend him as a very good reliable honest rehomer who cares about his horses.

➡️Some horses we allow to go to their new homes without in person viewings/unseen - these purchases have online viewings where we can discuss far more and I encourage you to ask lots of questions and videos of anything in particular.
Some of our horses have particular needs and we will not allow them to go unseen so in person viewings have to take place.

✅The lovely Perri has had some downtime in the field and is now back in work and looking for her new 🏡. We thought Perri would suit from some time out in the field to let down and has come back better than ever.

✅Retired sound and healthy from an unsuccessful racing career over hurdles.

✅Working nicely on the flat and hacking out alone and in company - good in open spaces in all paces. She is still very green and needs further retraining. She will continue her work with us until she finds her new 🏡.

✅No injuries or vices. Can take a few days to settle into a new yard but is a real pleasure once she gets to know you. No mareish behaviour and loves someone to spend time with her making a fuss.

✅Good to handle in all ways in and out of the stable. Up to date with all vaccinations, worming and feet.

✅A good home is very important for this lovely girl.

✅Thomas is a pleasure in all ways - good to handle in and out of the stable and has a great trainable attitude. He’s currently just doing a bit of schooling and hacking out and has popped a little jump. He’s a good forward ride, hacks alone and in company.

✅No injuries, vices or health issues. His only vice is that he can be a bit girthy which is reflected in the 💰. Currently on omeprazole which is included in his ⛵️
Fit and ready to go but would thrive from some chill time in the field.

✅Good with farrier and to travel. Up to date with all vaccinations.

✅I’d love to see Thomas in a fun active home, he’d be a great allrounder.

Meet Sparky.

✅This lovely girl is looking for her new 🏡 where she’ll be given all the love and care she needs. She has a lovely kind personality and will stand to be groomed all day long and have cuddles. Spent some time on the track but she was far too slow and it was never going to be for her - retired fully sound.

✅She’d benefit from some downtime in the field but equally no reason she could crack on with a job. She hasn’t been in any consistent ridden work since deciding she wasn’t going to be a racehorse at the end of February. We popped on when she came to us but due to lack of time and getting some mud fever she hasn’t done anything else. Good to handle in all ways but is forward to lead so needs someone experienced.

✅She had mud fever quite badly so stayed in the stable for about 10 days which she was super tolerant and happy with. This has delayed her retraining so now offered at a bargain as she is due to lack of time. From the field.

✅Up to date with all vaccinations, feet and worming. No injuries or vices.

Absolutely NO TIMEWASTERS, no loans.

I’d like to introduce lovely Penny. She had a short flat racing career with just 2 starts as was just too slow so retired fully sound. Penny is a good ride although hasn’t done a huge amount with us so very much a blank canvas looking for her new 🏡 to continue her retraining. She is forward thinking and will need a confident rider to reassure her. While in training she had popped some jumps and shows real promise.

No injuries or vices. Penny did have ringworm in December but this cleared with veterinary treatment and raced since - I have a vet certificate to show she is clear from this. She has some different coloured patches where the hair has grown through.

Good to clip, shoe, handle and travel.

In her short racing career with just 5 starts she never made it across the finish line 🙈 Annie has a lovely temperament and will stand all day to be loved and given affection. She finished racing very light and lean so still needs to continue building up condition.

Since retiring sound from the track she has just had some downtime in the field and is now out hacking alone and in company, good in open spaces in all 3 paces. She’ll make a fantastic eventer type having had experience over jumps in training and her races. Very much a blank canvas for someone to work with and enjoy.

⭐️Nice eventer type⭐️

15.2hh - rising 5y/o TB mare.

Lovely Lottie has been with us since the start of last summer. She enjoyed doing lots of hacking and jumping, which she absolutely loves. We felt she was still a bit weak so decided to turn her away and bring her back in the new year to then event for a season but unfortunately due to lack of time/space this won’t be possible.

We’ve been long reining her and taking her out on walk hacks so she will need to keep being bought back into work. She’s loves to work and have a job!

She’s a super talented and willing little horse and will make a great competition horse in the right 🏡. Lottie does pull faces around feed time and when she came to us she was very nervous having her back feet picked out and still can be wary when having her back legs brushed but has cracked having her feet picked out.

No injuries or vices, currently barefoot and coping well enough but may suit having shoes on when in more work.

Danny is looking for his new 🏡
15.1hh 9y/o thoroughbred gelding.

After a very successful racing career with a huge £120,000 career earnings Danny decided he wanted a second career. He was retired fully sound with no injuries throughout his career.

Since being out of training he has had some down time in the field and just started hacking out alone proving very straightforward and easy. He’ll make a fantastic ROR showing type and I’m confident he’ll bring home the ribbons.

Danny is injury free and completely clean limbed. He does crib bite when it’s feed time but not all day long - please bare this in mind if getting in touch.

Myself and the previous owners/trainer want him to have the bestest future and for him to have a forever 🏡 with an experienced horse person.

I’d like to introduce Cara, standing at approximately 16.3hh with plenty of room still to grow and fill out. Rising 5y/o national hunt thoroughbred with a great amount of bone. She had 3 runs, hurdles and point to point but was just far too slow. Cara is an absolute sweetheart, easy to do in every way and she has a lovely kind temperament. There is no “chestnut mare behaviour” with her and she isn’t showing any mare-ish behaviour.

Cara is a great straightforward ride, she’s level headed and great to hack alone and in company, good with tractors and dogs. She’s walking, trotting and cantering confidently out hacking. Good in open spaces. She would make a great hunt horse as isn’t fazed by anything but would also make a fun horse for any discipline!

No injuries or vices, up to date with feet and vaccinations.

Merry Christmas from a very happy Leo 🎅🏻🌲

What an amazing year it’s been, lots of ups and downs but here we are coming to the end with 2024 in touching distance. My first year full time rehoming ex-racehorses has been a success with 25 in their new homes and some that have become permanent yard residents 😬😆
I’m looking forward to seeing what the new year brings and looking forward to lots of new horses coming in to find their new homes.

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas! 😊

Flora is now looking for her new home earlier than we planned due to personal circumstances. She’s a lovely girl, really nice character in and out of the stable (non-marish) good to handle and lead in all ways. Flora is a good ride although only just been ridden the once with us so far but felt very straightforward and very soft in the mouth - would make a lovely dressage horse. She had a tendon strain (just a light strain and hasn’t bowed) in 2022 but fully recovered, raced since and retired fully sound.

I’d like to introduce Fly. Super eye catching type who will make someone a very fun horse. She’s got all the looks so that alone will gain you extra marks at shows!

Fly is very fit so is currently out in the field having some downtime so being sold from the field.
She does have a slight mark on her eye which she has had since a yearling but doesn’t cause her any problems and still has perfect vision. She has a few lumps and bumps but nothing to cause any harm - both of these things are reflected in the price. No injuries or vices and up to date with all vaccinations.

I’d like to introduce the lovely Lola. She’s a lovely, kind horse looking for her new human. Lola is unraced but spent a short time in training but didn’t show enough ability. She is national hunt bred so has a nice amount of bone to her. She is a great ride, nice paces and will make a fun all rounder - she is still green so if you’re expecting a well schooled horse in a consistent outline then she’s not for you.

Lola requires a quiet 1-1 home as she is a little worried on the ground and a bit shy. She is a super friendly horse and will thrive with a quiet, confident and experienced person so please no novices.

Dandy is the kindest and gentlest boy looking for his new postcode. He’s in great condition, and incredibly well put together - a chunky type and nice stamp of a horse. He currently needs some time out until the spring before starting rehab due to doing a tendon earlier this year in June. He did this injury in 2022 but spent time out and returned to work. He has been pinfired previously.

There’s no reason this chap can’t go onto competing in the future and have a good chance at a second career.

He will not go anywhere as he really deserves a lovely home.

After spending some time on the track Connie decided it wasn’t for her and retired sound.

She’s a really sweet natured horse, not mare-ish at all. Nicely put together and could make a nice ROR project with the right experienced home. Equally could make a great polo pony. She does wind suck in the stable so price reflects this.

She ideally needs some time off in the field to blow off some steam as she’s very fit.
