Our super duper little Angel boy TOMMY has sold and gone off to his very lucky new owners!

So sorry to those who missed out but do take a look at marnie! She’s a very similar type- more woah than go nice and steady but responsive to small legs still! Videos and photos already posted and more to come this week as she completes our assessments 💕

A little observation to consider … my 5 year old daughter here , pictured on her mini cob , winning championship at a local show the weekend … we bought Tommy , 2 years ago , he was a ‘Trinas cob’ but soon to be recognised that his temperament was something we don’t come across all to often with the mini cobs and not something you can buy or train . we often find the smaller the cob , the ‘busier’ their brain and they can be quite Buzzy and cheeky and not suitable for a small child’s pony …
Don’t get me wrong , Tommy wasn’t suitable straight away for small children who can’t ride , the time and training has gone into him to produce this adorable pony that now, adores and looks after my girls every day and now 2 years later they are reaping the rewards 🏵 we are super proud of Maggie and her little supercob 🥇

So when buying your child’s ‘first’ pony , look at temperament , above and beyond anything else , look at what ‘could’ be achieved further down the line . Mutual trust and respect between the small pony , child rider and the parent only comes with time and dedication to build that relationship. What you need is a kind pony that wants to please , the rest can be trained and shaped up and tailored to fit into your exact needs with just a little time ….

Enquiries received here at MD mini cobs and small ponies , will be answered by a mum who has been on that journey herself , who is proud of what they have achieved and gets pleasure from seeing and helping others on the start of their journey .
If a pony comes to us that doesn’t have the right temperament , that pony won’t be offered for sale . Giving you peace of mind that the pony you are coming to view , has already been assessed for its child friendly temperament …

I will only have a couple of ponies available at any one time , because with 2 small children and their own ponies to look after , there is only so many hours in a day that I can give to my sales ponies to make sure they receive consistency and a thorough assessment / training …
So if you see something you like , don’t miss out because the next one isn’t going to come along too soon … x

The sweetest, quietest little pony we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Proving to be an absolute mother’s dream lead rein and sweet little first ridden.

Lots of fun adventures ahead for this little guy whilst we seek to find him his own little person to take him home and love him

Luna is sold and gone off to her new home , she came to us having never left the field she was born in 8 years earlier . We passported her ,microchipped her, wormed her , had her fully vaccinated , she had her first ever dental rasp whilst she was here , she was introduced to full tack and seen all traffic , what a fab little pony she was , a real kids pony in the making and a fun filled life ahead of her 👌🏼
