We are looking for someone to join our staff as an instructor to work a few hours on Fridays and Sundays taking predominantly beginner lessons. Someone with experience teaching would be ideal and more hours are available if needed.

Own transport will be required as the buses on our route are not reliable. Own horse welcome and happy to also provide additional training. There will also be opportunities to ride and compete for the right person.

Due to someone changing their mind I now still have a puppy for sale.

Miniature dachshund male puppy at 10 weeks old and ready to leave now, has his first vaccinations and is KC registered. Mum and dad under 4.4KG both with amazing personalities. Brought up in a home environment, absolutely amazing with cats, dogs of all sizes and children. He is doing extremely well with house training and absolutely loves playing!

Both now have homes 🥰

Poppy has two miniature dachshunds available. One girl and one boy. Both good stamps of the breed, KC registered with first vaccinations and microchipped. Both parents are between 4 & 4.4KG so pups will be small. Brought up on the farm so used to cats, dogs, kids and a normal home life. Very playful and friendly.

We are looking for someone to work either a few days or a few mornings a week. Experience working with horses is a bonus but not necessary as we are mostly looking for someone to help with mucking out and filling nets and general yard work.

We will be running Pony for a day over the summer holidays.

These days will include Stables management and 2 riding lessons. We will have these running on a Tuesday and Wednesday and will be split according to experience, please call or message to book.

Pony for a day will be from 10am until 3pm and will be £60pp payable on booking. Packed lunch should be brought as well.

For those who cannot do a full day we will also be doing pony experiences for an hour which will include stable management and a lesson.

We are looking to employ another staff member for a few days a week due to our riding school becoming busier. The ideal candidate would be organised, reliable with experience working with horses. Riding and teaching experience would be preferred but training can be given for this.
Applicants must be 16+ weekend days will be required.

✨Welcome to Blackburn House Equestrian Centre for Training & Equine Therapy!

We are situated within the village of Seafield and offer lessons and guided hacks for adults and children. We are surrounded with beautiful, tranquil, private land and offer guided hacks from 30 minutes to 1 hour to take in the beautiful scenery and fresh air along the bridleways.

We also have an indoor and outdoor arena, for anyone looking for lessons from a fully qualified BHS Instructor, Poppy Dennison!
✨ Group lessons or Guided hacks cost:
30 minutes = £20
60 minutes = £30
✨ Private lessons with Poppy are also available and cost:
30 minutes = £25
60 minutes = £35

We do have a jumping limit of 80cm to ensure the safety of our riders and horses that may not both be at competition level (above 80cm).

We have dedicated over 30 years to our established and trusted equestrian centre, all our horses are very well looked after! We also offer equine therapy for anyone who may be Autistic, have ADHD, Anxiety or even Neurological Disorders, so please DO get in touch to find out more about our Equine Therapy, we are here to make a difference!
