When you client is asleep during her massage and you need to turn her over
A little bit of supervised play. notice he’s on carpet so he doesn’t slip. He has so much pent up energy from being crated he’s a little over excited but after a while he settles on the mat before playing again.
Kim’s rehab. Kim is improving and we can extend his walks now and gradually increase. He is 8 months so the 5 min rule for walking(not play) is about 40 minutes a day. You can see I am using a long line this gives him a bit of freedom to sniff and trot with control so he’s not daft. On the way home I can see his leg is tired. But it gets less with each walk and so we can increase the activity. Those of you who are observant will note that Kim’s leg is slightly rotated.
Kim’s rehab. Even though the cast is off kim is still on cage rest. I can’t fault this pup really. Towards the end of having the cast on he was really struggling and the frustration was hard on both sides, but in general he’s has been very good and content. Breakfast has been in a licki mat, various chews although he prefer the horn, snuffle mat with treats have taken the edge off.
Kim’s rehab journey
7 weeks ago our collie pup broke his leg, a spiral fracture of his tibia. He is now out of bandage and ready to start his rehabilitation, so I thought I would create a diary to track his progress. The benefits of exercise rehabilitation.
