Welcome to Towsers Kennels. If your pet could choose, they would most definitely make Towsers their luxury kennel of choice. Sue and Shaun came to Towsers in 2001 with a lifelong background in dogs. Dogs are our passion and our life, we treat your best friend as our best friend for the duration of their visit to us, which is why they will want to come back again and again. They arrive with waggy t

ails and they leave with waggy tails! We have 16 large, individual kennels, all bedrooms are tiled and have underfloor heating with full size doors opening into even larger, covered and tiled runs. Our kennels run side by side, so our guests don't feel isolated. We have rugs in both the bedrooms and the runs, for an extra cosy feel. We encourage our guests to bring their own bedding, toys and comforters from home, so they can settle more quickly on their first visit to us. We have 5 acres of fully fenced, secure fields for endless play and two large, high fenced play paddocks, where dogs can while away some time under a shady tree, or play with friends in the sandpit, or simply just relax. We specialise in the care of puppies, from the age of 20 weeks, they are given loads of cuddles, love and as much time as we can possibly give them. We are situated in the glorious North Devon countryside, surrounded by farmland, but very accessible from Bideford, Barnstaple and Torrington. Our clients come from as far afield as Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Cornwall. Our reputation is such that once you have visited us and seen how we care for our guests we will be your kennel of choice. This is most definitely the place "Where Dogs have more Fun"

Chris & Vicky would like to welcome you to Towsers Country Kennels. We have taken over from the lovely Sue.

We are up and running with the kennels being open already and have welcomed some lovely dogs and their owners in already. ❤️

We are delighted to announce that we will be keeping the Kennels open for the winter months so please let us know if you are looking for vacancies or want to start settling in your dogs before the next season please give us a call.

Well, it’s the end of an era, finally after nearly 24 years at Towsers I am hanging up my dog leads and having the s**t shovel prised from my hand.
Shaun and I took over a pretty run down kennel early in 2001 in the midst of Foot and Mouth disease. I shall never forget the smell of the pyres and the sight of hooves sticking up in lorries.
We set about transforming the kennels with no area left untouched, which resulted in us being the first kennel in North Devon to achieve a 5star rating. We made some wonderful friends over the years and have enjoyed watching boisterous, bouncy puppies grow into well adjusted adults and then on the gorgeous oldies they all eventually become.
Three years ago in June 2021 I lost my beloved husband, partner and best friend Shaun. My friends, customers and dogs have all seen me through the most difficult time in my life and I will be eternally thankful to you all for keeping me going.
I have finally found my next home back in Dulverton, which is where we were both originally from and I’m sad I’m not moving back with Shaun but I know he’d be thrilled that I’m “going home”.
All things going to plan I will be moving on 11 October - time is going by way too fast and it’s such an emotional time for me, with wonderful memories of my life here.
The kennels will continue with Vicky and Chris Jarman taking over the reins, so I hope all my wonderful customers will continue to bring their dogs for their holidays.
Thank you all for being there, it’s been a blast and I’ll miss you all. Sue ###

Welcome to Towsers Kennels. If your pet could choose, they would most definitely make Towsers their luxury kennel of choice. Sue and Shaun came to Towsers in 2001 with a lifelong background in dogs. We are very proud to have been awarded the highest star rating for boarding kennels, under the new Animal Activity Licence system, achieving 5 stars. This is testament to our passion for all the dogs in our care and our dedication to making everyone’s stay a real home from home holiday experience.
