Our Story

Welcome to Towsers Kennels. If your pet could choose, they would most definitely make Towsers their luxury kennel of choice. Sue and Shaun came to Towsers in 2001 with a lifelong background in dogs. Dogs are our passion and our life, we treat your best friend as our best friend for the duration of their visit to us, which is why they will want to come back again and again. They arrive with waggy tails and they leave with waggy tails! We are very proud to have been awarded the highest star rating for boarding kennels, under the new Animal Activity Licence system, achieving 5 stars. This is testament to our passion for all the dogs in our care and our dedication to making everyone’s stay a real home from home holiday experience.

We have 16 large, individual kennels, all bedrooms are tiled and have underfloor heating with full size doors opening into even larger, covered and tiled runs. Our kennels run side by side, so our guests don't feel isolated. We have rugs in both the bedrooms and the runs, for an extra cosy feel. We encourage our guests to bring their own bedding, toys and comforters from home, so they can settle more quickly on their first visit to us. We have 2.5 acres of fully fenced, secure fields for endless play and two large, high fenced play paddocks, where dogs can while away some time under a shady tree, or play with friends in the sandpit, or simply just relax. We specialise in the care of puppies, from the age of 20 weeks, they are given loads of cuddles, love and as much time as we can possibly give them. We are situated in the glorious North Devon countryside, surrounded by farmland, but very accessible from Bideford, Barnstaple and Torrington. Our clients come from as far afield as Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Cornwall. Our reputation is such that once you have visited us and seen how we care for our guests we will be your kennel of choice. This is most definitely the place "Where Dogs have more Fun"
