Here's the poster for our Open Day & Fun Dog Show on Sunday 3rd September. In addition to seeing the animals at Remus Horse Sanctuary, you can also enjoy some singalong entertainment, magic, face painting, refreshments (including delicious cream teas) and stalls selling books, bric-a-brac etc .

We are delighted to welcome the Mayor of Chelmsford to this event and hope that you all can join us for a great afternoon.

Did you know a group of rabbits is called a fluffle? 🐇🐇🐇🐇

As ‘wildly’ social animals, rabbits like to be part of a larger group. This is because as a prey animal, rabbits feel more relaxed when in the presence of other rabbits as they can look out for one another.

Single rabbits on the other paw can become very anxious because they are constantly hyper-sensitive to potential threats – including you 👀

This is one of the many reasons why it is always recommended that rabbits are kept with bonded companions.

Besides, who wouldn’t want a fluffle of their own? 🥹🐰🐰

EDIT: Hey guys. We are now looking to sell this and put the funds towards the rescue as no one has come forward for fostering. Would have been a perfect opportunity for a fosterer but we simply don’t have the space for it and need it moved.

It will still be a lovely opportunity for someone who may who be wanting to upgrade their hamster or gerbils home.

Pls read if you don’t vaccinate your bunnies . It’s so important to whether indoor or outdoor 🐰❤️

So we had quite a bit of a shock last week after finding these unusual marks on Smudge’s face. Turns out after a vet visit that it was confirmed that Smudge had caught myxomatosis. Luckily though, because Smudge has been fully vaccinated, the vaccines basically protected him and saved his life. If he had not of been, the outcome would have been completely different for poor Smudge. This is how serious it is. It’s not until it happens that the reality hits and luckily for Smudge he is extremely lucky, along with the rest of our rescue rabbits.

We really want people to understand how serious this is and the importance of getting your rabbits vaccinated. This counts for both indoor and outdoor rabbits. We have had people in the past tell us how they are against vaccinating their rabbits because they themselves do not trust vaccines. Although we understand when it’s their own choice for themselves, but this is not a risk people should be taking on rabbits. We also know that many people in general are still not vaccinating their buns. The majority of rescue rabbits who come into the rescue are rarely vaccinated. We need people to understand this is literally life and death for these rabbits, and we should not be putting them in a position of being at high risk to these diseases. This also counts for the hemorrhagic disease (RHD-1 & 2) which is also another deadly disease in rabbits. By fully vaccinating your rabbits you are giving your rabbits a higher chance of protection and survival.

Myxomatosis is often spread through biting insects such as fleas, mites, ticks and mosquitos which help spread the disease. Rabbits can also catch the disease through direct contact with an infected rabbit and the disease can survive for weeks in hutches, surfaces, food bowls, etc.

Please make sure when vaccinating your rabbits that you’re asking for the full vaccine which protects your rabbits not only against myxomatosis, but also Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHD-1 & 2) which is another fatal disease in rabbits. Your rabbits should also be vaccinated every year.

Please don’t wait and vaccinate 💉🐰✨

1. Other clients rabbits to come into contact with yours ( it’s a big no no!)
2. Other clients rabbits to share Space with yours ( nooo!)
3. Pets stay that are unwell . All pets must be of good health when they arrive ❤️

What we do do !
1. Disinfect the area between stays 🫧🧽
2. One client to arrive at a time
3. Allow you to settle your pet ( yesss come In see where they are staying ❤️🐰)
4. Send you updates through out your pets stay 🏖️📸

The perfect weekend with Daisy at her photoshoot with Jon and his team of incredible dancers .
10 hours on a train there and back but it was worth it 🚂
Daisy was the youngest there by along way, she’s still so little and was lovely to see her learn and grow in confidence . I Love spending quality time just me and her . Exmouth we will be back 🌊🏖️🫶 Stuart Nash thank you for all your help ❤️
