A reminder that it is important to frequently worm your kittens. My personal favourite as a first wormer is Panacur paste then Milbemycin tablets. Dose every two weeks until 12 weeks old then every month til 6 months old (check product data sheets as this varies). Kittens are born with worms from their mother so in order to keep their guts healthy you must worm. Worming treatments are readily available from your local vets ⚕️🏥🐱

This is an EXCELLENT graphic!

Pay attention to what a dog is telling you. And teach children to respect a dog's space! Too many dogs end up in shelters (or worse, put down) because the adults in charge were not monitoring the child/dog situation.

Many times when a dog bites a kid parents say, “There were no warnings. He just bit him for no reason.”

The unfortunate truth is that there are almost always warning signs, but the humans miss them. This photo shows a few warning signs that the dog is uncomfortable and may bite.

The more I read about the Australian Bush fires the sadder I get.

It’s just incomprehensible the scale of the devastation and the loss of animal life.

Half a billion animals are thought to have lost their lives and the quick google search I did to find a Kangaroo bought up one the most distressing images I’ve seen in a long time 😢🦘

As you saw this morning the Army reserves have now been called in but the fires are pretty much out of control and mass evacuation is now happening.

So what can we do?

Apart from address the long term and greater issue of climate change by making lifestyle choices we can feel a little useless.

We can’t send products out there and jumping on a plane with no wildlife experience will not be useful.

So I donated my fee from a private commission this morning to:

Hoping that every little bit will help and that this charity can hopefully save some of the animals injured.

Christmas is not long now. I feel for the poor animals as they arrive into their new home on Christmas day with all of the noise and then a few days after they are alone and unwanted to which most don't even make it to the rescue centres as the people just dump them on the side of the road.
