Missing Ball
DF 1 this morning. Four of the finest gun dogs - and they can’t find a ball🥎😃
New foster dog Ollie.
New foster dog Ollie. He’s a bit tricky (allegedly 🙃).
Collected him Saturday.
First time using the fields. How hasn’t been out or stimulated anywhere near enough.

Here’s our latest foster dog: Biscuit.
He’s a 2 year old golden show cocker and he’s slotted right in with the other spaniels.
He won’t be with us for long as I’m sure he will get snapped up as he’s a super boy.
Apparently he was left alone a lot and the owners also got a new (larger breed) puppy - and I think he might have become (understandably) a little bit antsy.
He likes company.
But from what I can see, he’s pretty perfect and very easy to deal with.
Joyous.

Meet Maggie Moo.
I was asked to urgently foster her early last week by a wonderful local rescue charity and she’s adorabubbles. Much better trained than my spaniels 🙄
Bit of a sad background no one needs to dwell on but she’s know landed at the spaniel Four Seasons. Room service is a bit non-existent and food could be (even) bigger portions, but the beds are comfy, facilities are quite good and the night time biscuit is a welcome treat she says. Think a new adopted owner has been lined up for her and they are super lucky.
Poor Louie is having work experience and running about 4 balls throwing games whilst I sit and type this 🤣. He’s going to be more exhausted than the dogs 🙃
If you’re heading into Dog Field 2, you’re in for a treat as the Daliahs are putting on quite the show!
We’re not just any old dog field.
A native plant to Mexico, you can see the Bradford on Avon micro climate must be comparable. Who knew?

Here is upper DF2 today. Don’t forget that both fields have an upper section that you can use when you book.
They are both more ‘field’ like (especially upper DF2) than the lower fields with mown walkways, but at least you have a choice with each session you book and can change it up.
We love that there there are two different fields for you to use in your booking slot. It helps to make us different. Some hounds use both but they don’t have to. Choice is totally yours and theirs.
In this clip, the user and dogs are in the lower field but could use the upper one where the filming is being done if they wanted to.
Hounds who like a run and a sniff, will enjoy them.

Last bits of clearing this morning BUT upper DF1 now open. It’s the same fencing and lining as the other fields.
Please take care and let me know what you think and what could be better.
We have marked the odd hole that we think is an animal thing as we don’t want to fill them.
For some of your hounds, it’s going to be a great but it won’t suit everyone. As with all our fields, it’s NOT secure. I have put my long line lead on the gate if you’re not sure and you want to try it. Privacy screening up Monday BUT we have left all the natural screening on the sides of all the fields and the in better path which hasn’t been mown and it’s all very high.
So this is a little soft opening and will try and improve where we need to but do bear in mind it is just a field and won’t change in that sense.
It’s the most amazing spot for a sit down and a think - and that’s just the dogs 😃
