As a family, we at Dogz Unleashed believe that all dogs should be able to run free of shackles & restraints, providing it is safe for both dog and others around them to do so.
We know how invaluable our fields will for both dogs and their owners that will be affected by these new laws. We really want to continue to provide a safe place for these types of dogs to be safely exercised within the law.
Due to Government legislation imposed upon us all, we have consulted with our insurers and sought specialist advice. We can still continue to welcome XL Bullies and similar breeds providing the following procedures are strictly adhered to:
- As is law from 1st February 2024, all XL Bullies will have to have a Certificate of Exemption and valid liability insurance. A copy of both would need to be emailed to us before they could use the field.
- XL Bully types, owners will need to register with us before visiting – please email [email protected] for a registration form.
- XL Bully types will only be allowed to share a freedom session with dogs they live with from the same household.
- Only those age 18+ can bring XL Bully types to the field.
In addition to our electronic digital keypad access, a special combination padlock, that we will provide must be used to lock the field gate once the XL Bully type and their owner are in the field.
Dogs must be muzzled and on a lead at all times whilst walking to and from the carpark and at any time while outside of the secure, enclosed freedom field.
Once in the field and after the padlock has been locked securely, muzzles and leads can then be removed.
Freedom sessions for XL Bully types will be 5 mins shorter to mitigate the possibility of crossing over between field visitors.
If booked into the Paddock field, you must leave the field at quarter to the hour.
If booked into the new Meadows field, you must leave the field at quarter past the hour.
These procedures are subject to change, as and when we have more clarity on the situation from the Government.
Please strictly adhere to all of the policy rules, failing to do so, will result in a ban & could jeopardise ALL XL Bully types future enjoyment of our field
