First retrieves
This young lad is starting to get the idea and loving it!! So good to channel their natural needs and engage both body and brain 🥰
Smooch time
Giving you dog time to meet their need for sniffing and exploring . It calms and tires at the same time and fills up their happy cups.
Not all walks have to be a rush for mileage, in fact I pause regularly on all my walks ! It’s important and often overlooked!
If you like your dog to be part of this pls get in touch!
Pack mind !
Pack drive is a state of mind that calms and lowers arousal levels allowing your dog to meet their needs within their threshold.
Many dogs that are walked are not in this frame of mind and you see ‘reactions’ like barking, running up to other dogs or running away to chase . Which can and often is stressful and problematic for the handler.
If you like your dogs to experience and benefit from this sort of element on one of my walks get in touch!
This dog is just incredible! She is the best big sister to other dogs I’ve seen in a long while.
Well done to her parents for the great parenting!💪you rock!
Lovely play between a 5 year old GsD and a 9month old spaniel.
The spaniel came into foster a total loon with no switch off button.
The play is lead by the german shepherd who engages and disengages before the pup gets over aroused.
You can see the spaniel playing calmly though typical young dog without loosing her head.
Short periods of pause and reinitiating interaction again.
What a great way to learn dog etiquette through play!
The art of doing nothing
A good skill for your dogs to be calm and relaxed when out..being comfortable to just observe and process.
Bit of steadiness and brain work
Training a clients dog to walk heel.
This lovely fellow likes to pull and ignore the handler so we are working on focus and engagement with the handler here.
He has been bribed like crazy 🤣 to help him understand what I’m asking but this is him working entirely from his own brain and learning without a single treat 👏Little fun at the end as a reward.
Training takes time. Don’t expect perfection from your dog overnight 😘
Give us a wave if you think he’s a clever boy!
Bit of brain wake up
Mina thinks: stopping is just fine- no need to sit down as I’m off in a minute anyway 🤣🤣
The silent treatment 🤣 focus and impulse control excercise
Part one of what to do when it doenst go to plan
Leave it!
This can be your saving grace to avoid your dog engaging in unwanted behaviour and also to keep them safe.
Snappy recall
What is your dogs main motivation to come to you? Let’s work it out!
Why does my dog not listen?
Is your dogs environment stronger than you?
Don’t be a yanker 🤣
Did you know that the dogs neck is full of delicate structures?
Follower mindset
Easy tip: utilise narrow paths to let your dog follow you. This mindset is calming and worry free for your dogs
First meet of these two. Lovely to see the nervous collie accepting the calmer GSDs lead and following her.
Zena leading the way
Wet morning
This is more dogs than I would usually take but four are mine and the two black cockers are well known to our pack
