Ernie the full of beans cockapoo ♥️

Ernie is still only 1 years old and has a lot of energy (typical of cockapoos).

His lovely owners have worked really hard to get him used to being brushed as he’s quite sensitive about his legs and paws being touched.

He’s incredibly affectionate and needs a lot of positive reassurance whilst being groomed.

My muse, Fifi ♥️

Fifi was the first dog I ever groomed as she was my little assistant, whilst I was studying to become a groomer.

Fifi is a F1 cockapoo (meaning half English cocker spaniel and half miniature poodle).

Her coat is more like a spaniels and a lot straighter than most cockapoos, instead having a slight wave to it.

I actually prefer it and it’s much easier to maintain as it doesn’t mat as easily.

Having a very straight beard does mean it’s harder to create a donut/ teddy shape, but I still think she looks adorable 🥰

Some grooms are more challenging than others and little Pip tested all my skills today.

Pip is a very energetic miniature schnauzer and had previously been to two other groomers who couldn’t complete the groom.

Pip was very nervous about the grooming equipment and really disliked having her legs even touched.

She was really matted under her armpits so I didn’t want to give up on her and with a lot of treats, trust building and patience, Pip and I both got through the groom.

Her owners wanted a more natural schnauzer cut so I kept her beard shorter and her head/ face a bit longer.

Knowing she is mat free and comfortable makes me happy.

Little Izzy the miniature Schnauzer visited the studio today for her post Christmas groom.

Schnauzers can be feisty, but Izzy is unbelievably gentle and well behaved whilst being groomed.

Little Axel was back in the studio for his puppy package today.

With puppy’s it’s really important to ease them into the grooming process. Today Axel had a brush out, bath, blow dry and tidy up around his eyes and feet.
I introduced him to the clippers and got him used to the sound, but they will be used on his next visit.

He’s a very fidgety puppy and full of beans so I want to ensure he grows in confidence each time he visits.

(The black dot on his tongue is likely to be pigmentation, but his human dad is going to get it checked out to be sure)

I’m in love!

3 month old Axel came into the studio for a little explore to get used to a new environment.

With puppies it’s important to gently ease them into the grooming the process.

Today Axel had his nails trimmed and a brush. His human dad has already started getting him used to being brushed, which will help him get used to being regularly groomed.

My little girl is an absolute dream to groom and it’s a great bonding experience for us.

Welcome back Bailey 💜

For a golden doodle Bailey is quite small. She’s only 9 months old and still quite fidgety, but incredibly sweet and was very patient with being groomed.

Sherlock the Cockapoo was back for his regular groom.

He’s incredibly attached to his human mum so he needs a lot of patience and reassurance during the groom.
