So proud of Otis! He normally comes in every 8 weeks just for nails, but this time he was comfortable enough to allow us to bath him! As you can see he was very happy to have his bath. We brushed him but didn't use any dryers as this would have been too much for him. Heather's Hairee Hounds will always adapt the groom to the individual dog! π₯°ππΎ

Yesterday Kim did her first full groom on a clipped breed, Beanie the 12 year old Spaniel. Kim did brilliantly, Beanie was very sensitive with her front paws and legs but overall a very good girl. Her owner wanted her top knot left, I think it's adorable! Doesn't she look so much younger after her groom?! ππ

Meg the 6 month old Border Collie came in today. She was originally booked in for a full groom but due to her being very nervous we did a 2 hour consent grooming session instead. I want her to have a positive association with the salon and grooming equipment, so everything was taken at her pace and she had lots of high reward treats. She now gets in the bath and on the table by herself without any concern. At her next session I will introduce the dryer to her. ππΎπ π Only 2 more page likes needed then I will announce the giveaway!
Some of you may have noticed a new face at the salon. This is my older sister Steph, she has grooming experience from previously working at another dog groomers and from completing a college course at Easton. This is the first time she has groomed in a few years and she did brilliantly, all the dogs loved her especially Chase the pug! ππΎπ
Proud is an understatement! This is only Barney's second consent grooming session. He did so well, his feet and his back end are his triggers. So when he allowed me to clip over them I was shocked! Well done Barney! Looking forward to you gaining even more confidence. πΎππΎ
