My gorgeous old girl Winnie is really struggling 😢 she’s been off her legs for over a week now and despite trying everything to support her to stand she is just too weak and uncomfortable, with what seems to be severe arthritis in her front legs 🥺
When Winnie came to us a few years ago her feet were so over grown and she was almost unable to stand, “walking” on her knees, we have worked so hard to give her a wonderful few years but now I fear that time is about to come to an end 💔
Today Winnie needed a little bath around her bottom and this ended with a lovely cooling face wash which she loved 🥹 along with eating lots of fresh forage 🧡
Despite the nips and head butts, I really do love you, you sassy old girl 🥺
🌸🐑 Violet Update 🐑🌸
Little Violet wasn’t getting on too well with her splints, we were having some success in helping her to walk but her feet were still turning in, making her quite uncomfortable.
We had to make a new plan for her and she’s been in full casts for a week now and is taking it all in her stride! 😍
She is working hard to keep up with Tansy, although with the weight of her casts she gets tired quite quickly so takes lots of naps, especially when she can find a spot in the sunshine 🥹
Her casts will be removed on Friday and we’ll assess if she’ll need them back on again, fingers crossed they are doing their thing 🤞🏼🩷

Poor little Roxy is really struggling with her skin at the moment, we are constantly eliminating things from her diet and giving her special baths but I think there will be a little vet visit this week 🩷

🩷 CHUNK IS HOME 🩷
After almost a week in piggy hospital Chunk is back with us, she was so pleased to be home and snuggled up in her own bed.
The care she has had at Langford has been amazing and they have done all they can to keep her happy and comfortable whilst trying to get to the bottom of what’s going on.
Sadly, we haven’t got a definitive diagnosis- we do know that all Chunk’s vital organs are doing as they should and that she is feeling brighter.
It seems that she has an infection somewhere that doesn’t want to budge and she’s in some discomfort.
We have a great treatment plan for the next couple of weeks to help her fight this lingering infection and keep her pain under control.
We will then repeat her blood tests in a couple of weeks time 🩷
For now she is home and happy 🩷
Chunks total bill has come in at £1776.27, we will be planning some fundraisers to help with this but in the meantime if you’d like to donate towards it, we would be forever thankful 🩷🩷🩷

Sadly Chunk has shown little sign of getting better, she hasn’t wanted to get out of bed and we have had to be hand feeding and syringing water into her. She’s only eating a limited amount and is so wobbly when she stands 😢
We know that chunk is anaemic and there is something going on with her liver, along with potentially fighting a virus but she isn’t responding to treatment.
After some conversations with our vet, we made the decision to ask for a referral to Langsford University vets in Bristol.
We made our way there this evening where we settled Chunk in and discussed possible treatment plans with the vets there.
We have tucked Chunk in for the night (with a fleece from my bed that smells of me to give her some home comfort!) and investigations will start tomorrow.
We have been estimated anywhere between £500 - £3000 for her stay.

My gorgeous, gentle girl, Chunk isn’t feeling well today 😢 she been very quiet, off her food and has a temperature, we have given her some pain relief and started her on antibiotics but we aren’t quite sure what’s going on for her 😞
She did eat a small dinner this evening and enjoyed some grapes and half a banana 🩷 I’ve tucked her in for the night and we’ve had some extra cuddles xx

Those of you who have had the pleasure to meet Loki will know that he is a giant softie who loves a kiss!!!
Loki can struggle to keep his weight up, so we supplement his diet with hard feed and treats, like bananas 😍

Mopsy and Lola are completely inseparable, they spend their days snuggling, grooming and sleeping 🥹
Mopsy has been here for several years now, in fact he was one of the first bunnies I rescued many moons ago! 🩵 For lots of different reasons the time has never been right for Mopsy to move on from us.
Last night, that changed 🥲 Mopsy and Lola went to their forever, retirement home to enjoy their twilight years being totally pampered and spoilt, just what they deserve 🩵🩷
Older residents often get overlooked, but they too deserve a chance to be part of a family 🩷
These two will be greatly missed by me and our volunteers but we are all completely over the moon for them 😍
