Let’s talk hamsters!!🐹

Now this has always been a very controversial topic, to me it’s a no brainer!
-
Hamster cages have always been something that people disagree over. Not enough people are educated on the correct housing for small animals, ESPECIALLY these lovely little creatures🥰
-
The absolute BARE minimum cage size for a hamster is 100cm x 56cm, of course if you can then please go bigger and better to give your little ham the life they deserve!!❤️

This is a very similar post to the post I made previously about bunny keeping, this is because their enclosures should be very similar!

There is just a few minor things that are different between bunnies and piggies❤️
-
Guinea pigs also require a lot of space and enrichment to thrive and be happy pigs 🐽

It surprises me that still to this day people are caging up their bunnies!

These beautiful animals deserve all the space they can get, I have written up a couple of things below to hopefully help inform everyone on how bunnies should live!🏡

I always compare cages to us being locked in a small room/cupboard!

Would we be able to exercise like we need to? No, we would end up obese and potentially a stunt in our growth

Would be enjoy living in a space we can hardly move??😢

He is estimated between 5-8 years old and is fully grown😍

He has a lovely temperament, and sheds and eats perfectly fine🥰

This gorgeous boy is a blood red corn snake, believed to be between 5 & 8 years old. He has a lovely temperament and is more than happy to be handled💖

Due to poor care previously he has slightly saggy skin (he was massively overweight, not since losing the weight he has kept loose skin) and a fair few damaged scales😢

People don’t realise the commitment of pets!

They think that small animals are easy pets, don’t be fooled! Hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits along with all of your other small furries take up lots of space, time and effort💖

Please think your decisions through before taking on any commitments!🐇🐹

Loki was our first rehome! This gorgeous boy is around 2 years old and has never had a forever home!

Fun fact - Loki is actually disabled! Due to poor breeding he is missing part of his spine, half of his tongue and the tip of his tail!

This doesn’t stop him though as he lives a happy life now in his forever home! However he cannot catch his own food due to his tongue defect so he has to be tongue fed🥹
