Yesterday Charlotte and Jamie took two of my ponies out showing for a bit of fun in hand showing at the Kent Festival Show, and what a fun day they had.
Yearling c**t, Knavesash Freedom was 1st in the 1-3 years old mixed youngstock M&M class (10in class). And then went on to be Champion in that ring!!! 😍🥂🍾
And then our homebred Welsh Section B gelding Byhurst Braveheart won his class and he too went on to be Champion of his ring!!!😍🍾🥂
So great fun all round.

Mainbale is produced from a Mix of grasses.

MainBale Haylage is a High Fibre Haylage with low – moderate levels of both energy and protein. This is achieved by allowing the grass to mature out in the field before mowing and harvesting. MainBale Haylage is suitable for feeding to a wide range of horses from native ponies – riding club horses through to competition horses. Mainbale is one of the largest bales on the market; this should provide enough forage for the average 500kg horse for 3 – 4 days. (Depending on circumstances) MainBale Haylage is a Dust Free Forage; it is by far more nutritious than dry or soaked hay. The concentrate portion of your horses’ diet could be reduced when feeding Haylage compared to hay.

What a great day Charlotte and I and team Balanced Horse Feeds have had at the Thames Valley Indoor Carriage Driving UK event at BCA. We won the multiples class and achieved the 100% mark again in the process, and then we got a well deserved 2nd (86.8%) with our second year novice stallion Kaydrith Silver Sprite, in the Open Pony class.
After a great dressage a cones, we must have pulled 4g when Super Ponies Number 6 and Dave, took off with after burners on maximum. Jaws could be heard dropping as we blew through the start gates and just 29.69 seconds elapsed in the 4th obstacle.

Byhurst Farm has a vacancy for a general hand delivery driver.

The successful applicant will be required to have a clean driving licence, with entitlement to drive a 3.5t van and be willing to deliver animal feed and bedding, including hay.

Byhurst Farm is a diversified family farm, and we manufacture one of the UK’s leading horse feeds brands on the farm, as part of the diversification.

After training, the successful applicant will be involved in the manufacture of the feeds, serving customers and helping in the smooth operation of the overall business.

A basic knowledge of animal husbandry; sheep, cattle, geese, horses is essential for the role and basic computer skills will also be required.

A 2 bedroom farmhouse maisonette with large rooms, could be available for rent by the successful applicant and subject to satisfactory references.
