I've had a hard year with my mental health, and getting back to "normal" is proving to be alot harder than I anticipated.

Apologies for not replying to messages: I've been hibernating. I'll update you when we have something that resembles a plan :)

Hey guys!

We've started our plans to reopen, so we can make doggos look fancy for Christmas!

We're looking at Tuesday 1st December for our first day back! But as we'll need more time in between to clean, there will be less appointments available. So be quick :)

Prices will have to go up unfortunately, so give us a message and we shall let you know the new price!😊

Looking forward to getting back to it, its been a really really REALLY tough year.

Hey Guys! A quick update from us:

We've had lots of messages asking if we're open yet; we are not!

We have atleast another 3 weeks of Lockdown, and probably more after that. We will not reopen until it is safe to do so. Our Salon is at my parents house, there is no money in the world that would make me risk their health, and your health. Nope nope nope.

Keep on being safe & kind, and hopefully we will see each other soon.

Massive cuddles to your doggos! We're missing them!

For the safety of our customers and ourselves, we have decided to temporarily close. We've cancelled appointments for the time being.We'll update you when we're reopening.

We can offer gift vouchers for future grooms. Just let us know if you'd like to do this. It will help us alot with upcoming bills.

Being self employed at a time like this is unsettling, if there's any other small businesses you use, please ask if they do vouchers; It's a great way to keep supporting them in this hard time for everyone.

Good morning :)

Just a bit of an update on what's been happening with us;

I've really really struggled to continue to work over the past year due to my mental health. We worked less and less, having to rebook alot of appointments to make it a little easier for me. Most of the times It was our most loyal & regular customers getting rebooked nearly every visit; Which I sincerely apologise for. Alot of you have found more reliable groomers to go to in the meantime.

Today I'm feeling alot brighter than I have done and I'm trying to get back to a "normal" working routine.

Due to not working as much; we've been unable to pay to keep our phone number. So we'll be available on a mobile number for now. You can still message on Facebook & texts :)

Sorry for all of the inconveniences this has caused.

Sorry for late replies this week, I went camping at the weekend, and on the way managed to slam the car door on my thumb. Been to a&e & fracture clinic, nothing is broken but damaged tendons, it's so swollen & Bruised. I just need to rest it and do squeezie ball exercises. Thank you to all who were booked in who have let me rebook them!

The past few months I've been struggling with my mental health, which has led to me cancelling and rebooking appointments. We decided to only take a few dogs a day to make it easier & then having a backlog of customers wanting appointments which means a longer waiting time. And then I got a chest infection which messed things up even further.

The majority of you have been so understanding and then the odd few which reminds me why I work with dogs and not people.

I'm trying hard to get back to you all to rebook you in, but there may be a bit of a wait so I don't mind if you need to go elsewhere to get groomed as I know it's important to keep your dogs looking lovely. But I do hope you come back to us for their next one as we really love your dogs; we'll miss them like crazy!

I just thought I'd explain and apoligise why it's been hard to get in touch with me lately. Sorry :(

We've just had to have our Old boy Moses put to sleep. He was the bestest big doggo who looked after us and our little doggos too.

He had the greatest nose I've ever seen, the cutest cow eyes & the stinkiest farts 🤢

So, my dad was drying a dogs foot. He starts laughing hysterically cause her paw looked like a man in a funny disguise (glasses & big nose!)

My boyfriend's took it a little further and turned her paw into Gandalf 😂

Amazing!

We are pleased to announce that effective immediately, the Red Lion Penyffordd is now dog friendly not only in the bar but also in the lounge!

We invite owners of well behaved and groomed pooches to bring their little friends to the hub of the community with them in the comfort of the lounge and bar areas.

All that we ask in return is that dog owners show consideration and responsibility towards other patrons - our team would hate to have to ask you to remove your pet from the premises. There may be times when our pub is not suitable for your pets due to noise levels and large crowds i.e. during big football/rugby matches, etc ... for your own dogs sake, please check in advance what events we may have on that may upset your pooch.

Please note that our restaurant is NOT dog friendly at any time.

We have some VERY exciting news for all of you! Almost Home Dog Rescue is taking a very big step forward and as always we need your help and support! 🐶

Almost Home Dog Rescue is opening a charity shop in Buckley! This will be the first animal rescue charity shop in Buckley! We have chosen Buckley as we are local to the area, we are based in Nercwys just outside of Mold, North Wales!💚

All the funds will help us to ensure we can continue to save dogs which are in need.
We aim to provide a safe haven for dogs that have been abandoned through no fault of their own, rehome them, and to educate the next generation of dog owners.🐶

Please feel free to share far and wide!👍

We need as many donations of quality items as possible please. We will collect locally however we do have a few drop off areas as well!💙

If you have any questions please ask! We need also need some equipment to run the shop. Including a tagging gun - the labels too, clothing rails - 4 way and size cubes. If you could donate any of these we would be very grateful! 🤞🏽

Also please donate any of your unwanted items including; clothes (female, male, children etc.), good quality brick a brack, homewear, toys, jewellery, books, gift sets etc. 🎉

It was Lord Phantoms 3rd birthday yesterday, so we had a party! He had Steak for tea & Cake by Pupcakes Dog Bakery for pudding!

We had a great time 😍
