💜💙💚💛🧡❤️Happy Valentine's Day ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
We all know our pets have our hearts this Valentine's 💕🐾
Cats + Christmas Tree = Paranoia 🤪
On a serious note, please keep any lights and decorations out of cat paw reach.

Check bonfires before lighting them in case wildlife such as hedgehogs have taken shelter amongst the wood.
If you have one in your garden, PLEASE make sure it is completely out, especially before letting pets anywhere near the area.
Unsuspecting animals (wild or pet) can run over any embers, which may still be hot, and get burnt feet!
See our senior wellness checks as an MOT on your classic car… but the car is furry. 🤔

#VeterinaryReceptionistAppreciationDay
❤️
Today is a chance to celebrate and champion all of our wonderful #veterinaryreceptionists and the endless amounts of hard work they put in to look
after our staff, our practice and most importantly, your pets! 😺
We want to thank all of our receptionist for always listening to everyone, caring for all members at Kinfauns and making everyone smile non stop.
Veterinary practices would be lost without a reception team and it is one of the hardest jobs in the practice.
Thank you for looking after every client and their beloved pets who walk through the door. Your all ✨ 💛
Big thank you to our camera shy receptionist too 💛
This is your day 🥳

The term veterinary nurse is a contentious conversation in the vet world.
Registered veterinary nurses and student veterinary nurses are registered with the royal college of veterinary surgeons. They are regulated by them in terms of their conduct and keeping up-to-date with training. The term veterinary nurse is a contentious conversation in the vet world as anyone can use this term, even if not qualified or registered.
Efforts have been made to change this, and we fully support this; our nursing team deserves to have their title protected and for pet owners to know your vet nurse is fully qualified to look after your beloved pet.
Registered vet nurses RVN and registered student nurses RSVN are always qualified and trained.

Walking an elderly arthritic dog? Here are some top tips:
Your dog doesn’t link hours of zoomies to pain later on, and it is up to us, the owners, to help them out.
Keeping moving at constant regular intervals is essential to keeping stiffness down and getting the blood flowing. However, every dog is unique, so a tailored exercise plan is a great way to ensure your dog gets the correct amount of exercise without causing discomfort.

Grapes and their dried varieties are common at Christmas but toxic to pets.
The dried varieties of these fruits are often found in mince pies, Christmas pudding, stollen and fruit and nut mix, so keep all these treats out of reach!
If your pets does accidentally eat something containing these foods, give us a call as soon as possible for advice.
