Happy New Year to all our furry friends 🐾
We love having you all come visit when your humans have to go away and we know you aren’t sad for too long 😆

Our 2024 diary is now open for the full year if like me you are using January to get organised!

A reminder of our rates
£15 up to 8 hours day care including a good lunchtime walk and any pop outs needed

Or, £20 for longer than that up to a 24hr

Here at 2nd Home your dog becomes one of the family, gets showered with hugs and cuddles and gets taken on many family adventures including river, forest and fell walks. No stay is quite the same here as it very much depends on what our furry pals want and need. Suffice to say there is always a bed to share and toys and balls to be played with 😍

When we have furry friends to stay for a longer time they are able to get to know our other friends in Papcastle.
Nellie loves stopping by the gates of Holly and Alfie to ask if they could ‘play out’ 😁🤣

This small bundle of deliciousness is Nellie, a 3yr old Cockapoo who was with us for 2 weeks and has the best doggie eyelashes I’ve ever seen!

Ted the gorgeous and playful slipper thief was with us to stay again last weekend. We locked our footwear up and tired him out at the beach and lake…turns out his loves nibbling his harness too 🤣😬

It’s been a busy week here at 2nd Home looking after all our furry friends who needed company this half term.
We’ve had returning visits from Ebony, Holly and Boz and met a new friend Sam.
Eldin and Arlo have loved all the company and have been out with me early every morning being chief treat providers 😁

This week we got to meet a cutie, miniature schnauzer, Sam who loved the kids and getting cuddles 😊
Sadly Sam wasn’t well while he was here but we got him some help from the vet, gave him extra love and he left feeling much better and back to his cheeky self

Old but still beautiful…this is our greatest friend Ebony, who we normally see only on Saturdays while her mummy and younger sister are out adventuring on the fells, but this week we have a longer treat.

As a rescue dog Ebony has some attachment issues and initially missed her mummy a lot, but now is quite settled and loves welcoming the boys back from school 😊

Last weekend we got to meet a new friend Ted who had a trial sleepover before a longer stay next month.
Ted soon found his place with Arlo for cuddles and movie night, and we learnt to keep an eye on our slippers 🤣

I have a few spaces in our regular weekly diary for the next month or 2, waiting to be filled by some new furry friends.

Buy 5 days of daycare for only £50 🤩(normally £15 per day)
These can be used for around 8 hours in any term time, week day and need to be booked by the end of March and used by the end of April.

This is the loveable Alfie who, if he’s not chasing a ball, can be found bathing in the river…however cold it is! 🥶
I certainly get a good arm workout with him!

Me and my best helper Arlo. Our family is very outdoors and like getting out whatever the weather 😁 Arlo is the chief feeder in the house and will go on every walk he can…but he’s still in training to help with the toilet part 🤣
