Nail Clipping 🐶

Here in the salon we offer a wide variety of different services.

Did you know you don’t have to book a full groom to get your dogs nails trimmed?

We offer nail clipping and nail filing starting from £5.00. We do not require an appointment slot for nail clipping however if we’re busy in the salon we may ask you to pop back a little later on 💅

❕Appointment Notice❕

We would just like to make all of our customers aware that we highly recommend pre-booking your next few appointments to avoid any disappointment for future bookings.

At the moment we are fully booked until mid August for any appointments, we do have a cancellation list however everyone is holding on to their appointments at the moment. We are working 7 days a week and unfortunately cannot magic up more time as much as we would love to be able to 😅.

If anyone would like to do block bookings we very highly recommend these as it’s better to have a few appointments in and then we can always shuffle them if needed however we cannot ‘squeeze in’ 1.5 hour time slots for a grooming session.

The dreaded topic of conversation in June but our Christmas diary is filling up very fast if you would like a Christmas groom secured now is the best time to do it as once they’re gone we cannot physically fit any more appointments in 🎄.

We are very busy in the salon so a message is always best however if you’d prefer to call, if we cannot answer the phone leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Alternatively drop us a text on 07933 458997 or a message on Facebook or instagram!

Amazing results on an 11 year old Cocker spaniel, after just 2 sessions of our emmi-pet teeth cleaning you can see a huge difference in the condition of these teeth 🦷.

Hey guys, just checking in with some updates for all of our regular customers.

Our prices will be increasing as of Monday 1st April 2024, the increase will vary slightly depending on the size of the dog and the breed. We have held off as long as we possibly could however the costs of running a business are increasing rapidly and we can no longer be undercutting ourselves to try and please customers. Our electric/water providers and the cost of all of our top of the range products have increased significantly over the past 12 months. To ensure we continue to provide high quality service and products within our salon it’s just something we have to do.

As a guideline as of April 1st 2024

🐕 small dogs wash, blow-dry, nails clipping, ears cleaned I.e. pugs/frenchies will be starting from £25.00
🐕 small/toy breed full grooms will be starting from £38.00
🐕 Medium poodle cross breeds will be starting from £43 depending on size / cut / hair condition and temperament of the dog, this is because they require more drying and styling than smaller breeds.
🐕 Full groom on spaniels will be starting from £40.00 depending on the size of the dog.
🐕 Labradoodles and golden doodles will be starting from £48 depending in the size of the dog and the styling it requires.
🐕 Collies, retrievers etc will be starting from £45.00 depending on the size / coat condition and temperament.
🐕German shepherds and other Extra large double coated breeds will be starting from £55.00.

Please note that all of our guidelines are based on regular grooming and our from prices are dogs that are well behaved, well maintained and on a 6-10 week regular grooming schedule with ourselves.

We also charge a matting fee for dogs that are matted or well overdue their haircut as this all damages our expensive equipment and therefore means it need sharpening more regularly which isn’t cheap for us. Our matting fee’s start at £10.00 per dog 🐶

Flea charge also remains in place, if your dog is presented to us with fleas you will be contacted immediately and we will do our best to accommodate finishing the groom before sending them home. There is an extra flea charge as it is very time consuming and expensive for us to fumigate our whole salon and this means we have to push back or cancel the rest of our appointments on that day. This charge will start at £30.00 per dog in addition to your grooming fee.

If you have any queries about your appointment price please give us a call or message.

We will be able to give you a better price guide as to what you will be charged when we see the size and the condition of your dog upon arrival to their appointment 🐶

Please also note as always we can only allow 15 minutes for you to arrive to your appointment. If you are late by more than the 15 minute period this may result in us having to refuse the groom on this day and a charge will incur for a missed appointment. Our schedule is very tight and we work to an exact time frame to ensure all clients get the 1-1 care and attention they deserve whilst in the salon with us.

Any appointments that are missed will incur a missed appointment fee that is the chargeable for the price of the full groom missed that day. This is to be paid before another grooming appointment can be made with ourselves.

As much as we would love to be we are not a dog sitters or doggy day care so please ensure your dogs are collected at the time given to you. We are aware of traffic congestion in town and appreciate it’s not always easy to collect dogs on time however more than 15 minutes late may incur a holding fee as we have to set time aside for a member of our salon to watch your dog so they’re not left unattended.

Please note we have no spaces available for any type of grooming until the very end of April now. We have got a very large cancellation list on the go at the moment however it’s not very often we are getting cancellations.

If love could’ve saved you, you’d have lived forever 💙 Unfortunately we have received the news that one of our beautiful customers has crossed over rainbow bridge 🌈. Louis was one of the most gentle and sweetest souls we could’ve asked for whilst grooming, he really was the perfect client. He has been a regular at The Dog Room since shortly after we opened all the way back in 2018. Although he didn’t like his feet being touched by anyone else he was never phased by us trimming them and clipping his nails to keep him comfortable 💙 Louis will be a massive miss to his lovely family, his mum Carolyn and of course The Dog Room family 🥹.
