Alpha 1 Dog Training is based just outside Coleraine and is owned by Ian Eccles. Ian is a member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainners and has listed status with the Kennel Club of GB and an accredited A1 assessor for the KC GCDS. I have worked proffessional (full time) with dogs for over 30 years. I have successfully competed in working dog trials. I have also competed in obedie

nce and agility competitions and was the National Champion in 2005. I have also judged dog trials at the highested level. I train dogs using postive reinforcement. I offer a range of obedience classes

Our dog training classes incorporate the Kennel Club’s “Good Citizen Dog Scheme” at the Puppy, Bronze, Silver & Gold Levels. They’re good fun, non-competitive and a great way for you and your dog to learn & make new friends. All dog training is motivational and reward-based (either by praise, food or your dog’s favourite toy – whichever works best), and we always have extra “supplies” on hand in case owners forget to bring something. Our classes are progressive (i.e. they get more difficult as the weeks go on), They last for an hour a week. We have recently entered into the Showing world with our Spanish Water Dog who has qualified for Crufts 2017!
