Remi having the raw pork 80:10:10 she really enjoyed it and finished it just in a minute. She used to be a very fussy girl and very slow to finish her meals. When feeding her it always gave me a headache. Thanks to my dog nutritionist who recommend me to change her meal to ~ Foong & Remi, Buxton 🐶😊

BarkinBISTRO Dispatch & Production Position 🐶😺

We are looking for hard-working dog lovers to join our fantastic dispatch and production team in Kilrea.

Dispatch role: Your role will be to pick orders and pack our subscription boxes, focusing on first class quality and attention to detail. You will be responsible for loading and unloading product from the freezers, picking product to pack from packing sheets, packing boxes to the highest standard. Contact customers via telephone or email to help with their order queries/amendments.

Production role: Your role will be working in our processing and packaging department turning high quality fresh raw meat and other whole food ingredients into minced raw dog food. You must be comfortable handling raw meat, standing for long periods, lifting, carrying and cleaning.

We are a close-knit team, with a that family feel, looking to welcome more like minded people to our lovely team and keep work life fun and enjoyable. You will need to be friendly and reliable, able to adapt to working in a fast paced ever changing environment.

Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 9am-5pm (additional days may be required) immediate start available.

ATTENTION PLEASE ⚠️ Easter holidays are coming up next weekend 🐰 - Which means our couriers will not be delivering as usual 🚚

The delivery schedule is as follows, because of Good Friday (29th March) and Easter Monday (1st April) we'll only be dispatching orders Monday to Wednesday next week. This means that any orders placed from next Wednesday at 2pm will not be with you until at least the following Wednesday (3rd April).

This is your reminder - avoid the chaos and get your order in now, or if your subscription falls over that period then make sure you log into your account and bring the date forward ASAP!

Why do dogs need pancreas in their diet?

It is a simple answer to this question, they need pancreas to support their own pancreas, and we often find that feeding a dog or cat with pancreatitis, the organ that is in trouble, can make a huge difference to their recovery. If you add pancreas to their diet, they may be less likely to get any problems with their pancreas in the first place and pancreatitis is so commonly seen in dogs and cats who eat a highly processed diet.

Full time & Part time role available but we can also be flexible in terms of hours and days worked for the right people. We are a small family company, so a positive attitude with a willingness to help out in many aspects of the business is really important to us; here are the key attributes you will have:

• Flexible attitude to work in warehouse/production atmosphere when needed
• Physical fitness, lifting and carrying of stock
• Attention to detail expected of premium food based business
• Also, a love of dogs, friendly persona, willingness to learn and work as an important part of a rapidly growing, friendly and flexible team.

THE ROLE WILL ALSO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Food production operative work
• Distribution picking/packing work in warehouse
• Pick/Pack orders in walk in freezer
• Drinking good coffee, eating biscuits and talking about dogs!

Our other businesses include Barkin Barbers dog grooming salon and our Pet Hotel boarding facilities at times you may be asked to help in these areas as and when required.

Our Story

I asked myself, “Why are my doggy clients are having so many health issues, itchy skin, hair loss, ear infections, weight problems…could it be their diet?”

At Barkin Barbers & Pet Hotel, I regularly see first-hand and hear from pet parents of the common problems & health conditions plaguing our best friends, skin irritations, arthritis, heart disease, cancer, behavioural issues, no longer enjoying canned/dry food, losing weight…does this sound familiar? I began researching what goes into commercial pet food, the results were shocking, I vowed I would never feed commercial pet food again!

barkinBISTRO was created!

After extensive research, and working with an amazing Canine Nutritionist (who I cannot thank enough for her help throughout this journey), we formulated a diet that is biologically appropriate, using fresh, natural, human-grade ingredients that meet our dog’s complete nutritional requirements. Our ingredients have been carefully selected for their health benefits to help your best friend live a long life bursting with health and free of illness. I believe we should feed our best friends the way we should feed ourselves.
