Although I'm pleased they didn't dump in the wild !
Easter and summer holidays are a stressful time in pets being dumped ! Please think before getting a pet and know you will dedicate money and up to 10 years for some rabbits

Appeal for information - please share 🔄

Four rabbits were abandoned at the gates of Rspca Ashley Heath in Ringwood, Hampshire on 16th July. Two females and two males were found inside hutches covered in faeces and urine and were in a very stressed state.

CCTV footage showed them being dropped off from the back of a flatbed lorry but unfortunately the number plate is not clear enough to identify.

Lemon Drop, Candy Pop, Humbug and Mr Worthers are now receiving the care they need.

Apologies on lack of posts . Inbetween sorting animals ,personal life and attempting sleep and fund raising... its just manic at times.

Huge thank you to whomever left the bunny feed and paper , you really have helped as more bunnies arrive , the stock goes down so fast . 🙏🙏😇💖.

As of next week , out the front of my property , there will be a wooden house under the bushes . This is a drop point .
Pets can be placed inside without seeing me or anyone knowing . It's secure and checked throughout day and early morning( water and food inside also) . Do spread the word to help prevent anymore animals being dumped over the summer holidays .
Can I also remind , that I offer a free holiday board for small pets. Your pet can not be left with a mountain of food and bowl of water .. im here to help you .

Attempting to revamp the rabbit pens , but kept getting side tracked by the main piggy shed !
So many dozing potatoes 🥔 😄.
There is around 14 GP in this shed , but with the mountains of hay it's difficult to see them kipping .. so this was lovely to see !

Special home required for fearful "nev" !
He's so handsome and willing , but having so many to look after , I don't have the time he desperately deserves. He runs from his own shadow and would hide all day at the thought of someone nearby.
He needs time , soft handling and I feel a friend will help him blossom.
Our aim was to have him injected so he can live with females , but again we are time and finance poor !
Once Nev is relaxed , he likes a groom and gentle strokes ! He's never nasty , and even gives a kiss /wash .. but you need to build his trust !
Maybe someone out there needs a Nev? A piggy with a big heart , but no trust !
We ask that any animal is returned if no longer able to keep " blueoaks safe for life" , and free mite treatment, fur trims , nail trims and holiday board !
Donation appreciated, and proof of his new home required.

Go go Delilah..aka "DeeDee".
She has been a very aggressive bun , we are her 7th home and last home.
Not only does she now follow me like a dog , but I can stroke her , play hand tag and itch her chin , no growling , grunts or lunging !
Having space to dig , run , forage , from dusk til dawn , friends behind fence , and no pressure .. its changed her mindset .
I dont normally do favourite, but she is my girl ( will attack humans still) .
(Yes she does have canker ear issues ),

Urgent ADOPTION REQUIRED OR FOSTER!
Musk turtle x 1 in need of its own tank .
The pair decided that they don't like sharing and bullying is happening (bullying is extremely stressful to animals also)
Proof of set up required and must be solo.
They're full size at around 4-5 inches and eating nicely and we have them come to us at command.

After losing one of our budgies after it flew out the door , and other 2 rehomed , we have their cage and full set up and food that needs to all be used instead of being sat to rust !
Suitable for 3 budgie or 2 cockatiel (I never recommend 24/7 lock up , but a good night time cage)

"Cappy" leaves for his new home tonight , he will be living with an experienced family ! He's not a straightforward , regular size piggy and I really thought he would be here a long time !

Dont forget to add cold fruit and veg during this heat !
Water bottles go warm quickly and unless you're able to change it regular through day .. then this is a fab way to get fluids into your pet .. and vit c In to your piggy !
Please do ask if you require help regards to day care. If you're working all day and outdoor pets are in the sun ,they're welcome to come here for day (checked every hour and more ,spritzed, shade ,fresh cold food, cold towels and fans etc) no charge ! I dont ever try to explain myself publicly!
But a couple times I had messages asking why Lenny does not have toys , and how cardboard is not enough !
Lenny loves paper abd cardboard, it took her a year to start playing with it .
She's 30 now and think she knows what she wants in her cage , and we do what's right by them !
Excuse my kitchen , I have been emptying draws 🤣

SPECIAL HOME NEEDED , NOT A CHILDS PET !
"Captin, aka cappy" is a big chocolate guinea pig ! He's around 3 years old and an ex show stud boar!
Cappy is frightened of his own shadow , hates being picked up and runs the moment he sees a human or animal .
He has improved with just me , I sit and read and he ventures over to investigate, I do pick his up and once he knows it's me , he will relax and cuddle in , although whilst assessing , he does not respond to anyone else and full on panics!
Unfortunately during trying to bond with another , he runs blind and tramples the other.
So until he has just one person to trust , I wouldn't recommend pairing him .
Cappy needs a one 2 one person who won't rush him , spend time chatting to him and not trying to pick him up ! I will add pics later today .
Cappy will always have a safe place here and insist that if you can't keep him , that he is returned. Are you his special someone? 🙏🐹

We are down to our last few slices of hay (thank you wendy) and rationing feed. So we are asking if any of our lovely supporters can help us?
Maybe you have some left over , or some that your pets dislike ( we don't do fussy here , it's a blessing full stop)
Or if able , maybe grant us a wish from our amazon list . I have tried to find the cheapest and best deals available.

I do hate asking as we are all feeling the pinch, but even a £1.99 bag of food will help to fill our furry ones tums ! Thank you 😊

Lenny raided her treats box , there was not many left , but enough for a few days training !
She had a big tantrum yesterday and bit anyone able !
Much happier mood now we stocked back up ! 🤣
Just to add , her main diet is "harrisons" so monkey nuts are just a bribe to not bite or attack 🤣

Quick milo update . Considering he couldn't stand up and head bent back and on brink .. hes pulling through quickly . All with help of mother nature and pain killers . Wild yarrow (dry it out ) is amazing and loads about .. go pick and dry it un the sun .. they store well in jars too , yarrow has saved many of our piggies as can add to critical care. Hoping he will be back with his chum "one eyed willy " later today 🙏

So I splashed out and got my collie a cosy bed for his cave as hes been such a help with fuarding this week . He loved it and slept so well ! Why didn't I get my spaniel a new bed? Because he has an obsession in making beds no longer "beds" . Poor Leo held on to what was left , whilst luka destroyed . If I didn't laugh I would cry ! Rabbit health checks are now running behind 🤣

Beautiful update on Enzo the African pigmy who was adopted a while back from us . He was called the grinch by me , as so moody and spitty and disliked attention . Now at his home , he plays , goes on adventures , loves his food ❤️ . The right home for any animal , makes the animals world complete . Happiness for Enzo hog !

The loving side of lenny ! ( excuse the mess , if you have a Congo, you know what I mean haha) lenny loves warren , only he can get near her and especially under her cage where she lays eggs !

May not mean much to many , but deedee is highly aggressive in her own territory! The change in her is remarkable and I feel that a huge wall has come down in her attitude! Just by sitting with her and letting her "invite (head down , licks both nostril and moves away and turns back to look) me to enter her world/pen

DO NOT WATCH OF WEAK STOMACH Please do check your pigs regular as impact anus can be painful and prevents weight gain and in some cases it will lead to sepsis and death !

No matters how many times I have done this .. it still lifts my spirits when I see them fly off ! Honey and cooled boiled water , and gently pick off the lice !

Happiness at blueoaks

What a fab chilly morning fund raising ! Thank you for the support again from the regular amazing souls ❤️. A step closer to funding another shed ( for rabbits)and omelet enclosure(for male piggies) and restocking on pain meds ! This coming week we have 17 animals ( rats , hamsters , mice , guinea pigs) arriving at blueoaks, so today has been another step forward to goals . 😀 Thank you ! 😊 Lenny is still loving the newspaper donation ( thank you) and will happily play most of day with it 🤣

So an update on Finn . I called pah again as the animal department was meant to call . So I was assured I would get a call today ! No luck ! The notes she had was that they " wont" help with his treatment but feel free to get his free health check done ! So knowing that he could get treatment if I surrendered him back , I was willing to do it for him ... but they won't take him back ,apparently they don't take in poorly animals for adoption ... oh the irony !! All I can say , is if you decide to adopt an animal from the adoption side , please PLEASE insist on the vets giving them a Once over before you take home . Better still , adopt from a rescue that will support you and your pet and will do so for life ! This post is not towards the staff in store.. they're following orders and have to stick to what is asked of them and they have tried to do what they could to assist and they have chased different avenues for me ! Just a sad situation to be put in, in only a few days of having him back ! Heyho, up and over - he won't go without or ever be in pain again ! That's a Blueoaks promise to any animal that comes or goes through our care!

Huge , ginormous thanks for the hay and feed and treats , we're so lucky and blessed to have such amazing support ❤️ . Again I can't seem to message individually ( think my message thing is glitching again) So huge thanks to these wish granters ! We have lots of happy animals now . Another new week and already waved goodbye to lilo and lacy(RATS =grey and white , and pew) as they went to their forever home ! Their 2 cage mates left behind ,will be making a last visit to the vets this week and pass over together to which I cabt thank supporters enough in making this possible ❤️! Very bitter sweet so far ! On a good note , Holly is now straight headed and has around 70% vision ,which is fantastic as thought she was 100% . Shes really doing amazing with her therapy and stretches

Bit of a long video , but the ending makes me smile! Lenny loving a good musical ! Means so much to see her coming out of her shell and enjoying life !
