Happy Tails Dog Walking

A couple of things to say … Rocco has been super poorly. He has since been wobbly and leans on us a lot. To see him playing today with Echo has given us hope that he is on the mend. Love his sweet heart. Secondly, as you can hear me saying on the video - I hope I stay upright. Unfortunately I didn’t. My glasses were misted up, my wellingtons slipped the length of a tree root and so my feet and legs went to the left and my body fell to the right. I landed on my right shoulder and elbow. I had the best loves from all the pups but especially Nutmeg. Anyway, it ended up with me getting xrayed at St Mary’s Hoapital. Luckily I haven’t broken anything but I have sprained my shoulder. I am in a sling and although on painkillers - they haven’t touched the pain yet. I am sure the clumsiness is part of the menopause and I would like to kindly tell it to “do one”. 🙈 I would like to say thank you to all who have swapped or cancelled their walks so that Durn can walk 6 dogs on each walk and I can go along and hopefully walk and hold one with my good hand. What a complete and utter donut I am! 🥹

Today on our walk we came across a fallen tree. Durn tackled it like it wasn’t even there and as per usual I made a proper pig’s ear of it. Vinnie and Syd reenacted the balancing scene from Dirty Dancing as they walked back and forth along the trunk. (Video cut short as two bikers came down and I had to pretend I knew what I was doing lol)

Aye up! I took some more footage on Friday’s walk. I wanted to try and capture all the antics that the dogs get up to. I managed to edit it down from 11 minutes to 6.5 and then Ju got it to 3 mins. I hope you enjoy it. Durn 🥸

Just when we thought our bad luck streak had ended - Digby will not start. We had managed to collect all 10 dogs but then refused to turn the engine over. So we had to leave the van at Fudge’s house (blocking their cars in 🙈) Durn is just trying to get things sorted now. ☹️

This morning’s walk. I videoed it and was going to add music to it - but I thought it would be cool for you all to hear 11 dogs together. Quiet at times while sniffing and then chattering when playing. We got caught in rain and heavy hail. Quite the experience. Well impressed with them all as they all just got on with it. Durn has done his own videoing today and is going to have a go at editing it while we are on the ferry heading to Oxfordshire this weekend.
