Residential Recruit Woody has joined us today for a board and train vacation to work on his dog reactivity to German shepherds, loose lead walking and a fear of fireworks.

Graduation! 🎓

Congratulations to Reggie on his graduation with honours from our Puppy Course 🥳.

Orla 🧡. Meet Orla, the golden retriever puppy 🐶. This week we’ve had this beautiful girly in for the first of her puppy classes. Orla’s already been making great progress with her toilet training and settling in, so we got to work looking at the foundations for recall and puppy socialisation. Orla’s lovely pawrents have been doing some fantastic socialising with her taking her out in different environments getting her used to settling out and about. We talked about how best to socialise your dog around other dogs and people and what to do if you notice things your puppy is afraid of. Orla has a big sister Nova too who will be joining us in a few weeks too. We can’t wait to see this clever pup again and watch her progress. Well done team Orla 👏

Bodhi the beauceron 🔥. Today marked the end of this amazing boy’s residential board and train 🥹. I will so miss training with this big guy every day, he’s been so much fun 🤩. Bodhi was a happy but boisterous boy and he joined us on his residential training to work on his: resource guarding, traffic chasing, jumping up and mouthing. We are delighted with the progress this clever chap has made in all these areas. In his handover sessions he has successfully demonstrated his “leave it” command with his lovely owners, walked calmly past traffic with them and showed how he can quietly and politely greet new people now. Bodhi’s family have soaked up their training too and I am very excited for the future for team Bodhi 🐾

Meet Happy Harley!

This adorable girly joined us for her first puppy class. Having just arrived home a few days back it's a great time to start with toilet training, prevention of separation anxiety, recall/engagement foundations and socialisation to noises. Our puppy classes are typically 121 courses which gives each puppy a chance to move at their own pace and spend more time on the things important to you, your puppy will have plenty of opportunity to correctly interact with a selection of our neutral dogs during your course. Today we had this lovely chap Dougie for his first lesson.

Dougie is a 3 year old cockapoo, who has been struggling with becoming increasingly nervous of men and on occasions visitors to his home. We got straight to work helping Dougie overcome this fear. Both dog mum and dog dad did brilliantly with the training techniques and we soon moved onto practising out in the real world with great results. Well done team Dougie 🥳.

Today we had the pleasure of gorgeous Reggie and Max for their second puppy lessons. These cute boys are doing fantastically, getting to grips with the foundations of recall and learning to settle. Well done boys 🥳.

Miss Mabel 💛

This bright little girl joined us this week for her first 121. Mabel’s lovely mum got in touch because Mabel’s resource guarding had led to her biting. During our lesson we worked on teaching Mabel’s mum how to communicate better choices to Mabel and by the end of the session Mabel’s mum was able to take items off Mabel with Mabel willingly giving them up. We are meeting up again next week for further practise and tuition and in the meantime they have the knowledge to practise the techniques together. Well done girls 👏

Harry II, meet Harry this little guy is a mix of terriers including: patterdale, Lakeland, jack Russell and border.

His lovely owners took him on as a rescue dog 2 years ago and he’s a fantastic pet in the home very affectionate and wonderful company. But his dog reactivity outside the house is stressful for both Harry and his owners so they sought some help in addressing this.

Harry has joined our waiting list and starts his residential training with us next month. Stay tuned to see more of this little guys story and how he gets on. We love a terrier and their cheeky personalities and can’t wait to welcome him for his board and train.

Happy Friday from Wilma 🧡, the _________?

This gorgeous golden oldie girl came to us for a 121 with her dedicated dog mum this week. Wilma is a nervous soul and unfortunately she has snapped a few times towards people. We got to work helping Wilma improve her confidence to better handle fearful situations and teaching her appropriate responses in these scenarios. Wilma and dog mama did brilliantly it was a pleasure to see her relaxed and steady as the session went on. Team Wilma have some homework to practise until next time which I know they will ace. Great work girls 🥳

Reggie the bull terrier 🤩. If you’ve been following along you’ll no doubt remember this super cute boy. This clever chap is 4 lessons into his puppy training and socialisation classes with us and what a joy it was seeing him in action this morning. Reggie and his lovely humans are making fantastic progress so we tested Reggie with the added distraction of another dog for his lead walking and place stay today and he took it all in his stride. Amazing job team Reggie 👏.
