It’s little face at the end 🥺
Any donations towards the live food we are providing this House Martin (and the 3 swifts) is greatly appreciated- we’re currently spending about £7.50 a day on their food alone.

Thank you ⭐️
We love this little swifts happy dance after feeding! 😍
Coming in almost 2 weeks ago at only 20g, today it’s weighing 35g!
A lot of effort, money and commitment is going into raising these 3 endangered swifts so they can be returned to the wild in time for migration.
⭐️ DID YOU KNOW: Swifts are the fastest birds in level flight reaching speeds of up to 69mph (scientifically verified) however other experts claim they can fly up to 105mph! Pretty impressive! ⭐️

Someone’s keen for their breakfast 🤩
10 points if you can correctly identify this bird 🐦
🦆 Feeding time for our mucky ducks 🦆
We’re quickly going through duck food with this many bills to feed. We also treat them daily to scattered peas to encourage foraging.
If you’d like to make a small donation towards their food or maybe treat them to a £2 bag of peas, please use the following PayPal link:

Over the weekend we admitted 10 ducklings which randomly appeared on the grounds of a private school. After waiting 24h, no sign of mum, and no local ponds, rivers or water sources, a volunteer went to rescue them.
🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
They still have some baby fluff so will be stopping with us for 1-2 weeks before being released somewhere safe and suitable.

Thank you 😊
On Saturday afternoon, we welcomed our first fox cub of the season. She’s about three weeks old and upon assessment we found she was dehydrated with a very swollen and painful front leg, unable to bare any weight on it. Initially we suspected a fracture, but thankfully x-rays have confirmed this isn’t the case, and she is now receiving adequate pain-relief and antibiotics (as prescribed by the vet from Burnham House Veterinary Surgery.)
If you would like to make any contributions towards her care and medicine, please use the following PayPal link to send any donations. This beautiful club will soon be going off to RSPCA Mallydams Wood Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre to be raised with other Cubs and hopefully later be released back into the wild where she belongs🦊🧡

Even though we are currently closed to new admissions, we are still caring for a number of animals in our care at the centre and this weekend we released another 9 herring gulls 🤩 !!!
Thank you everyone for your patience, support and understanding at our decision to temporarily close our doors but we truly hope to bounce back with a better structure (both man powered and financially) to improve and expand our service and help for wildlife in need along the south-east coast.

Thank you 🦋
We released 9 of our herring gulls this weekend after weeks of care 💖.
Did you know Herring Gulls are on the conservation RED LIST meaning they are an endangered species facing severe decline and are in need of support. More than half of the herring gull population has perished over the last 40 years mostly due to over fishing of the oceans, oil spills and humans depleating their natural food source. It is because of this lack of natural food that they have been forced to come inland and scavenge for scraps in order to survive.

Bath time 💦 Our juvenile gulls love a splash in their paddling pools!
It won’t be too long before the first batch are released 🤩 stay tuned 😁!
We tried something new recently and offered our gull chicks some toys for enrichment 🤩
Animals kept in captivity (although ours are only temporary until ready for release,) can get bored and depressed which can have a negative impact on their health and mental state. Gulls are quite intelligent animals and therefor need enrichment and stimulation to keep their brains active and help with their development.
We offered a variety of toys to the gulls and it’s safe to say they really enjoyed them! 😁
We are still fundraising to build new enclosures and update our facilities to help more wild animals in need. If you’d like to make a small kind donation, please use the following JustGiving link:

🐦💖 WELCOME TO THE WORLD 💖🐦
2 weeks ago we received two pigeon eggs after the RSPCA rescued a couple of pigeons stuck inside a closed shopping store! Whist trying to free the pigeons they found these two eggs on the ground and took them to Burnham House Veterinary Surgery where our Directors Jade and Georgia work, and we then popped them in the incubator with our fingers crossed! This morning we have welcomed hatchling number 1 and number two doesn’t look like it will be too far behind! 😍
If you’d like to support the help we provide all wildlife, please make a donation via the following JustGiving link where we are raising money to build new aviaries and facilities for our wildlife patients. Every £1 helps us to make a difference 🙏

Last week this pigeon was brought to us in need of help after a lady found it sitting in her garden with a suspected damaged wing. After a trip to the wonderful Briar House Veterinary Practice they confirmed no broken bones and kept it for a few days of TLC. Thankfully the wood pigeon made a full recovery and we suspect it might have flown into a window and been a little stunned. Yesterday the bird was returned to the same garden where it came from and was soon reunited with its mate
🐦💖🐦
Thank you everyone who helped:
Sophia Jane Rudkins (one of our fantastic and valued volunteers ✨) and the wonderful team at Briar House Vets for your aid and efforts to rehabilitate this animal 💕

💜 There is no wildlife we won’t help! 🐣
Last week we received two pigeon eggs from an RSPCA officer after they’d rescued some pigeons trapped in a closed-down store and found 2 eggs on the floor.
They’ve been in our incubator for 5 days now and you can see them moving inside the egg! 🤩

🦇 Check out this pipistrelle bat we rescued yesterday from Worth after it fell into a waterbutt and was suffering from exhaustion and hypothermia.
Our vet nurse Jade collected and transported it back to the centre where we treated with heat, fluids and rest. He then enjoyed his dinner syringe fed to him (as seen in this video) before he soon sprung back to good health maki a full recovery and was later released that evening! 🦇

Good morning from our not so tiny ducklings! ☀️🦆🦆
Originally brought in at just a couple of days old, they’d been separated from their mother after children were terrorising and chasing them. Now they are big enough they will be upgraded to a bigger paddling pool this weekend to allow them to practice their swimming before release.
A tub of duck food costs approx £10-17 and lasts us almost 1 month for 2 ducks. We also feed them a selection of peas, cucumber and lettuce costing £3 per week.

🎥 Tawny Owl release 🦉💕
The tawny owl which came to us last week in severe shock from MiNight Vet was successfully released last night in a woodlands just next door to where it was found 🌳.
*Note how we always place birds for release on the floor and do not throw them in the air 🚫.
Birds should NEVER be thrown into the air for release as they need a moment to get their bearings and chose a safe location to fly to. Throwing them in the air can disorientate them leaving them unsure where to fly and possibly result in them flying into danger such as traffic or buildings causing much more harm.
If you ever rescue a bird and need to release it, pop it on the floor, or on a low tree branch in a safe location and wait for it to fly off on its own accord ✨.

Did you know ducks love peas? 😍
These ducklings are growing up fast and enjoy their daily treat of peas. If you didn’t see the previous post about them, we received this ducklings very young after their mother was terrorised and scared off by children who were chasing them 😢.
If you’d like to support the care of these ducklings please see our Amazon Wishlist where you can purchase a bag of swan/duck food for them or alternatively send a small financial donation via PayPal (please see the following links:)
