Just a little reminder to my boarding clients.
Please be aware I cannot accept dogs for boarding within the first 4 weeks of having the kennel cough vaccine.
This is a live vaccine and dogs can shed virus during this time.
Although kennel cough is not a dangerous condition in young healthy dogs it can be a problem for elderly dogs with some of the associated conditions.

It seems obvious doesn't it? But you'd be amazed at how many people think we shave dogs 'because it's easier, because we can't be bothered to do a proper job' Clipping a matted coat is harder than doing a fluffy groom on a knot free coat! Why would we want to cause distress to the poor dog for the sake of their appearance? I'm a dog hairdresser, I cut dogs hair- I'm not a professional de-matter, I don't have a magic wand that will cause matts to painlessly disappear. Thank you of course to all my lovely clients who do understand ❤

I have had to send some equipment away for repair over the coming week.
This means I have had to rearrange appointments for long haired/fluffy/woolly coated dogs.
It also means I have spare appointments for short haired or shave down dogs that don’t need a blow dry.
