Massive congratulations to George and his team for this national recognition!
Milking 600 predominately crossbred cows within a 1,500-ha estate near Ringwood, George and his team focus on producing milk from grazed grass. Their target is to reach 4,000 litres from forage, and they are currently achieving 3,730 litres. As such they are one of the first grass based farms to win this prestigious competition!
Well done to all involved 🎉🏆!

Take a look at this amazing video of the biting sheep louse Damalinia ovis which was causing some problems in a client's sheep flock yesterday.
The ewes were biting at themselves and rubbing on fence posts and tree trunks and very itchy. The farmer feared it might be sheep scab, but examination of skin scrapes and wool samples in our lab found these little creatures crawling about!!
Luckily our vet team and RAMAs in our dispensary were on hand to provide a speedy diagnosis and prompt treatment before Christmas 🎄 !
